Reserved a 26’ truck and trailer w/ hand-dolly a week in advance. Had two automated calls AND spoke with Andrew to confirm my order and that it was READY to pick up. I also requested to pick up the car dolly at a later date.When I arrive at Home Depot, the tools rental clerk who was more than helpful informed me that the trucks “check engine” light is on and water in the gas tank. He also said they didn’t have a hand dolly available… after a phone call with Penske, they agree to send a truck to my house and I ask the Home Depot clerk if I am able to come and get the car dolly still. He says yes. The Penske truck shows up with the car dolly attached…Rent from somewhere else…

Although I've had a good experience with Penske through Home Depot I must say that today was one that left me totally at odds with those previous feelings.

The folks at Penske Truck rental in the Home Depot in Georgetown, TX, is very knowledgeable. And a heck a lot cheaper than U-Haul! We will get our truck next week. I'll come back to give that review.

Was quoted one price on the phone so I made the reservation based on that quote. I received an email with a different amount due. I called to ask why that happened and the person on the phone that made the reservation didn't add a fee and tax into the quote. A sub total was just given. They wouldn't honor the quote given and so I asked to cancel due to inaccuracy of the quote. The woman I spoke with was a very rude representative when I ask for a tangible receipt for the cancellation. Usually when cancelling anything a reputable company gives a confirmation of cancellation via email. They do not do this. I had to basically demand a receipt of cancellation and to say the least she was as rude as she could be and stated as soon as she could "get off the phone" she would send me one. As of now, she did not send a confirmation of cancellation and I should have definitely received it by now. Looks like I will have to follow up to get this done. Hopefully it won't be as unpleasant as the other times, but it seems it may be. Be aware of this company for sure. This is a follow up....I received a phone call from Penske to get our business back. Not only did they honor the first quote I was given, but they in turn gave a few more dollars off. The representative was very apologetic and professional. I definitely was delighted to get this phone call...they earned our business back and honored what they said. I appreciate that in a company. I will definitely give a better opinion of them now. Great job in fixing a wrong! Thanks!!!!
