I have had the privilege of working on numerous projects with SOS Communications. My experiences have been very positive. I have found them to be innovative, progressive and responsive to any needs or concerns I have had. I highly recommend SOS Communications!

Best internet in the area. I’ve tried all others and none compare with speed and cost.

Horrible customer service. I pay for 25mpbs and it is very inconsistent sometimes dropping down to only 3mpbs for no reason. I have made 3 service tickets with no response. Only to find out the tickets were closed with no resolution. I haven't been contacted at all about the tickets, but the bill for service is right on time every month.

I’ve had them for a year rare outages and fast internet. Customer service is excellent! Us country folks love our SOS…

Current customer fixing to leave. $130 a month for a service that is constantly having outages. The most recent outage which is now “fixed” has our service running 15 mbps IF we’re lucky when we used to run 40ish on a 50mbps plan. Now we’re lucky if we can even stream on one tv. Have opened a service ticket online since work schedule doesn’t permit me to call them directly and guess what, absolutely zero communication from them and this has been a week now. So if you like paying for a service that never works and then doesn’t work to the capacity it should when It does work then this is the perfect Internet provider for you! Good luck getting a response from them about anything as long as they’re getting their money! Absolutely done with this company.

Had a few bad experiences when they had a 3rd party handling the CS, (which is changed) but last night my internet went out (lightning) and Colin and Mike came out and worked their butts off to get me set up for the weekend. I was very impressed with their service level, and would recommend them all day just based on their work ethic. Friendly, professional, and very courteous.

I have had SOS Communications for years now - maybe 7-8 years. If I had written this review three years ago or longer, it could have been four stars. But the service from the company these last three years or so warrants only a single star (or less). Outages: There are service outages on a regular basis. Some of them are weather-based. Some are not. Many of them including the weather-based ones could be prevented or reduced. None of their access points have any redundant power sources, nor do they have any power backup. Therefore, any kind of power outage or 'blip' will terminate service at that access point.Topography: Their access point topography is not what you would expect if you know anything about networks. Instead of using a redundant topography such as a spoke, or mesh, or parallel topography, they have their access points configured serially - that is, one after the other. If one access point ceases working, every access point after that one also ceases working. When this happens, they dump all of the offline customers onto another nearby access point thus bogging everyone down.Access speeds: They added too many customers without adding capacity. I regularly have speeds as low as 44 kbps. Yes. That is a 'k'. It is NOT a typo. My current account is for 50 Mbps but I have never seen that speed. I get these low speeds even at off-peak times. And since I work from home in an IT field, it makes doing my job quite difficult.Customer service: They rarely check their service tickets. I have filled out service tickets that sat for weeks without any response. Recommendation: If you are a rural customer, sign up for Starlink. If Starlink is not in your area, it will be soon.

The first two years I had SOS they were great, the last couple of years not so good. Speeds are consistently low (under 10mbps download speed) and they are terrible about responding to inquiries. Patiently waiting for Starlink.

It is a terrible service, you call them to tell them that you are struggling with the internet and they blame the antennas, they say that they are fixing them, I have been fixing them for several months now, orita I no longer have an internet signal and you want to cut it off and they just tell you that they sent you an email so you can cut off the service and they don't send you anything, that's if they're charging me and I don't have internet service BAD SERVICE

Chris and Hunter were so so awesome!! They worked on my two TVs. Both were difficult to get connected. The bedroom was the worst but Chris just wouldn't give up. He figured out my impossible mounting system and finally got it hooked up and back on the mountings. They could have easily given up but didn't. Thank you thank you whole heartily. Julie Gjerstad.
