I love Tractor Supply. It is fun to just go wander through the store, which is a combination of a hardware store, feed store, and pet store. They have tons of dog and cat food and toys, including some high-end brands. It is also like a Home Depot in some ways, but much smaller. Basic tools they have, although not the same selection as you get at one of the big stores. And wandering through the sections devoted to large animals is always interesting, and they have a lot of things that I’ve never seen elsewhere. In addition, they carry a lot of car batteries which are a little cheaper than most places. Outback, they have a lot of things like stainless steel cattle tanks, that you can get it a larger feed store as well. If you like any of this sort of stuff, you will like wandering through Tractor Supply.

Went to get a refund because we got cornish cross chickens, but they gave us 2 roosters instead. We also got an order shipped to us and the chickens unfortunately died because they weren't shipped correctly. We called the store in advance in Jarrell and they said we can go to any location because we aren't close to Jarrell. We went to the Georgetown location and they said they couldn't do the refund because they weren't allowed to because the manager doesn't allow it. We asked to speak to the manager. The manager says this store does not do returns, we said you can call Darrell fom Jarrell and he can explain. She said its best that you go to that store like she didn't want to help us. We asked for the managers name to file a complaint and she refused to give it to us. So we asked for her name, her tag wasn't completely visible, she quickly zipped up her jacket and wouldn't give it to us and said it's her right and perogative to not provide it even though we can see all her employees with name badges. We called Customer Service and they were happy to give us the names of the manager and the district manager. Just a ridiculous interaction and lack of customer service.

Ever since Debbie was Promoted to the Jarrell store I rarely go back to the Georgetown store. Debbie understands her customers and in my case keeps cottonseed on hand year round. Because not everyone feed and take care of deer for 2-3 months a year. So yes I'll drive the extra 17 miles for great customer service.

Why do you charge a shipping fee for store pickup of an item that you currently sell but not in stock at my nearby store?
This doesn't make much sense ... for example when I purchase something online at Home Depot and have it shipped to store, there is no shipping charge.
I can understand if it's a special order item that you don't normally stock or if I want it shipped to my home.
So I have to basically order from another TSC that has the item in stock for pickup, which can be much farther away, to avoid paying a shipping cost.
The specific item number is 2055787 - Purina Layena+ High Protein Layer Pelleted Chicken Feed, 40 lb. Bag.
Please consider a change to this policy.

Can never get propane filled. They are always out, or they only have one employee who knows how to work tanks, which they are never around. This week we were told that the equipment was not working properly and waiting for parts. I heard that excuse last month. You need to stay on top of your propane fill, and train more employees who are not afraid to work the tanks.

I have been trading with tractor Supply for years now and have to change now because I needed to fill my propane tanks and have been waiting for a week cause they say they are out and have no idea when to get any. So to he'll with them I don't plan on freezing because they can't keep there tank filled.
Instead of finding another company to fill their tank. (So bye) I need propane!!!

If your going for the Sunday vet they have here call before hand. We just arrived and they told us the vet called and cancelled this morning. Despite that they had a big sign talking about their vet clinic every Sunday. They only put up a paper after we and another customer asked about it.

I’ve currently been waiting for 30 minutes to get propane. This location is just as bad as the Hutto location. There are no staff members around to help, and all the merchandise outside is dry-rotted and sunbaked. The staff members are so stressed that the lady working at the front took her microphone off and said she’s quitting because the store is so terrible.
Edit: After they finally filled my propane tank, they closed the gate and put up a sign saying they’re out of propane.
