I recently dropped off a pair of pants here for dry cleaning. However, when I picked it up, there were even more stains than before I left it there. They say they did several additional dry cleanings, but I think they either didn't do it properly or they mishandled it and new stains appeared. In addition, they even charged me a separate laundry fee.
Oh my god, they charge money for unprofessional work? I will never go here again.

Wow!! Took my North Face jacket that has seen better days to this location. When I picked it up, it looked like a brand new jacket just purchased from the store.... Highly recommended this location, prices are also affordable

I've seen some bad reviews but my experience has been exactly the opposite. Seems like too many people review only when they are pissed. I was using Jack Brown and got tired of my buttons being destroyed on my shirts almost every time. I have not had this happen once since making the change over a year ago. When I walk in, the girl behind the counter already has my stuff ready to go. Something as simple as remembering my name goes a long way for customer loyalty. I would recommend them to anyone and I hope your experience is as good as mine has been.

I just gave it 1 star because 1/2 isn't available. They ruined a Christmas sweater, and continued to try to fix it. It started out cream color with red and green holly decorations. When I picked it up it had veen bleached and the red had run. They took it back to repair it. After a little over a month of dealing with an understanding and cery apologetic staff because the owner refused to talk to me, I finally received a check, and a store credit since I paid for the cleaning. After using them for several years, I don't know if I'll get to use my credit since I will go somewhere else not as expensive and more trustworthy.

Village cleaners ruined my dress pants and would not refund me. I would never go to this place, all is well until they mess up. Then they just deny any doing. Bad Business! If you read onto other reviews you will see a pattern with this place.

My boyfriend brought his military bags there to have some things sewed on to them. We told them where exactly they needed to be placed, when we revived them back they were completely messed up. When I asked for an explanation as to why they were completely wrong, I was given some phone number to call. When I reached the person (who wasn't a manager) they told me they called the lady at the store and she said it didn't matter size or placement. Why on earth would you not call the customer to clarify where it needed to go or the size? Was it her bag? Was it her money? When I asked for a refund or a credit they said they couldn't do anything, I wouldn't receive the obscene amount of money I spent back or get a credit. They did say I could bring it back, but I had received it a week LATER than what was told to me. And my boyfriend was to deploy the next week and we weren't going to risk not having it on time...again. No apologies we given and when I asked to speak to the owner I was told they don't deal with things like this. Oh you don't!? You don't deal with the crappy work that you charge an arm and a leg for? I ended up having to go spend 2 times the amount I spent there to have it fixed. I wouldn't never ever recommend this place to anyone. Just money hungry people who don't care about their customers.

If there was a Negative Star I would rate them lower. First of all I give 5 Stars to the Employees at the location - nothing but helpful, polite and courteous. NOW - The owner on the other hand is another story. I dropped of two Silk Tommy Bahama shirts a while back and picked them up more than a few months ago and had not even taken them out of the plastic in my closet until this week, because it is warm. To my surprise they were starched and ironed the life out of so I took them into the cleaners earlier this week. The clerk agreed and said this had happened to a few other customers and felt like they had someone at their plant doing this and needed it rectified. They agreed to redo them but before I took them in I tried them on and they had shrunk at least two sizes - took pictures for proof. When I took them back to the store I also brought one of my other Silk shirts to show them the fit and how they were supposed to feel - not starched. They agreed but noticed there was a little blemish on that shirt so I left it also to be "Drycleaned". The next day I returned to pick the clothes up and the one they dry-cleaned had now been processed the same as the others - Ironed and Starched. I also had another shirt that I had informed the clerk about and she suggested I bring that one in as well because it appeared to have either bleach or white spots on the back. I left and asked the Owner to call me. After a few days he called and all but accused me of lying about my shirts. He started out by telling me how much is must be an honor to me to have an owner call a customer because this doesn't happen regularly - excuse me CUSTOMERS are why you are here in the first place - without us you would not have a business!!! After trying to get a word in I finally said just send my clothes back to your store and I will pick them up and just not do business with you any longer. He persisted and in an accusatory manner that I had not properly taken care of my clothes and must not clean them on a regular basis because I have only been in his cleaners less than six times the past year according to his records. Again I informed him that I don't clean my silk shirts often number one and secondly I have more than 60 shirts in my closed that I wear from time to time so he could be correct - I was only in his store 6 times - oh forgot to mention, I have only lived here for 9 months and traveled so maybe, just maybe I could have had my shirts done somewhere else. SO for a new person to the Georgetown area like I was in May of last year I would steer clear of THE VILLAGE CLEANERS and its OWNER. In conclusion as I mentioned the employees deserve five stars for just putting up with an owner that puts himself so far above everyone else. Karma is a real eye opening experience - I am sorry for the employees that are being accused of taking the customers side. Good Luck but I will not be taking my business to an owner that shows no respect to his customers.

We have been using this cleaners for 10 years as a few of the other clients have mentioned. The last experience was the final straw for me. Twice now they have not returned all of the clothes I have dropped off. And each time when brought to their attention, I was told that since I didn't have any proof of dropping the clothes off (however they still charged me to clean the clothes that they didn't return) that I was pretty much out of luck. No refund, no credit, nothing. TWICE! I'm completely understanding that things happen, but the lack of customer service from the owners is absurd. As a resolution, the manager Jennifer suggested that I come up to the location and refuse to leave to get the owners to call me. Pardon me? Um, no, how about your owner stops acting like a child and fix this problem without me chaining myself to the front door in protest. Bless her heart, she is stuck in a terrible position and it seems like she has to deal with this quite a bit if that is the solution she offered. Sweetheart, it's time to look for another career where you are respected. Owners, feel free to call me when you come out from behind your sweet staff. You owe me $300. Sincerely, Irritated with pants-less husband

Would not recommend this place. I took one of my favorite shirts to them and it was returned to me discolored and ripped in five different places. Instead of admitting their mistake, they proceeded to tell me it was hand washed and that there must just be a "defect in the material." I guess edward scissor hands does the hand washing at Village Cleaners. The $30 store credit they offered me was laughable. Goodbye, Anthro blouse.

I purchased a Groupon for $90 and payed extra money for a wedding dress to be dry cleaned. I paid in full at drop off and THREE weeks later, they contacted me saying the dress could not be dry cleaned. The label said 'spot cleaning only' and the lady I spoke to was confused and told me that spot cleaning would damage the beading on the dress so I told her that I would be there to pick up the dress and turned down their services and requested a refund. The next day, someone called me and left me a message saying they cleaned the dress. I was furious. I went to pick up my dress and it was NOT cleaned at all. They said that spot cleaning is not guaranteed and I explained that I had not authorized any cleaning. I ended up calling the manager several times to get no response and so I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Nothing was resolved and I did not get a refund. I paid $136 for them to stare at my dress. DO NOT GO THERE! Not only is customer service bad, but obviously their services are as well.

AWFUL DRY CLEANERS!! Took my very expensive and professionally altered wedding gown to be cleaned via their bridal gown cleaning and preservation process, which was listed on their website as: Wedding Gowns Village Cleaners bridal gown cleaning service includes professional eco-friendly cleaning and to ensure safe storage a special bridal chest with acid free tissue paper for wrapping is used to maintain the delicate fabrics. Each gown receives a pre-cleaning inspection for any stains, abrasions, fabric tears, missing sequins or bead and soiled hemlines. Our skilled specialist clean your gown with utmost care and then hand finish every detail. We then pack your gown in a special box, protecting it from the elements and the effects of time. My wedding dress came back with soils still on the dress and hem (ok, the hem was pretty dirty, so I give them that, BUT the soil on the front of the dress was light and did not appear to have been cleaned AT ALL!), and WORST OF ALL, the hem that my professional alterations specialist did was completely ruined and strings were hanging out all over the bottom of the dress!!! I had to leave the dress with my complaints, only to get a call from the plant manager that it was either shoddy manufacture work or alterations work. Um....my gown was a Reem Acra wedding gown (not cheap stuff and not a shoddy manufacturer), and my allegedly "shoddy" hem done by my seamstress managed to withstand a 1 hour Catholic wedding ceremony, 1 hour of post-ceremony pictures, 2 hours of getting in and out of a hummer limousine for more pictures around Austin (even went to the TX game tailgating for some shots), 1 hour of a cocktail reception and 5 hours of a reception with TONS of dancing, and 2 hours of an after-party/band at my friend's bar on 6th Street, but somehow it was done so poorly that it could withstand all of that, yet not a few minutes in a dry-cleaning process?! REALLY?! SERIOUSLY?! That's your response? So, I called the plant manager again to let her know I was not satisified with her response and found holes in it, but her answer was simply, "I showed it to the owner, and that was his response."!! Oh, ok, that makes it better then! LOL! She also admitted that they are not experts at bridal gown cleaning and that they simply clean gowns, also that they do not inspect every inch of the gown...so what happened to what they stated on their website, "Each gown receives a pre-cleaning inspection for any stains, abrasions, fabric tears, missing sequins or bead and soiled hemlines. Our skilled specialist clean your gown with utmost care and then hand finish every detail." I'm appalled! FYI, I went to the one in Round Rock, but I assume they ship out to the same "specialist" for the bridal gown cleaning.
