Brookshire Brothers is an employee-owned, community-driven grocer based in Lufkin, Texas. Founded in 1921, this regional grocery chain operates more than 120 locations that stretch over 40,000 square miles in Texas and Louisiana, including many rural areas. Its assets include traditional grocery and express stores, as well as freestanding pharmacy, petro and tobacco locations. Customers have mixed experiences with Brookshire Brothers. While some praise the store's selection, low fuel prices, and helpful staff, others find the produce quality lacking and the prices on the higher side, especially for a small-town store. The deli department has received both positive and negative feedback, with one customer reporting a rude interaction with an employee. Overall, Brookshire Brothers seems to cater well to the needs of its local communities, offering a range of services and amenities, though some customers feel the prices could be more competitive.
Way over priced. Only go here when dont want to drive 20 mins down road to go to HEB

Went in to buy a few items because we were in Giddings. The meats are USDA select no prime beef. Vegetables were fresh for most we looked at or bought. Store could use some updating but a good place to shop.
