We were staying in town for a local event and had such a nice stay here. They were also very welcoming of our pup. Room was clean and very kind staff. Would recommend!

It was a great place.
For a quiet weekend. The staff was very friendly. The location is very pretty. And walking distance to the square. It is a boutique hotel. Our room did not have a tv and that was a good thing. Snyder's tavern, It's located on the property and has excellent food and an extensive menu. You can have drinks and look out over the river.

We had a one night stay and really enjoyed the property! We had lunch at the tavern it was excellent. So close to all to do in town great shopping. We also enjoyed evening drinks in the tavern and a nice breakfast at the inn the next morning. Room was clean and cute service was excellent and property beautiful! Will definetely go again!

Stayed here in March for a retreat and I am completely plant based (vegan) and the owner made sure I had amazing meals. I was told they regularly serve vegans and have these items available for non organized events. The rooms were nice and the location was amazing and most importantly calm and relaxing. I would take regular walks along the river and enjoy the scenery. Traveling with my dietary restrictions is difficult and usually bland. The food here was some of the best plant based food I have had in the US. She took it as a challenge to make me amazing items. The service here was top notch.

IF you get out to Glen Rose, TX, and I know it's a big if, the best place to stay is Inn on the River! The food is amazing, the property is relaxing and beautiful, and the tavern is great!

Our stay at Inn on the River was just what we needed. The location is superb, right on the river (hence, the name), and the ambience was perfect. Pam's cooking was just right, and the attentiveness and hospitality of the rest of the staff that we encountered were great, especially Ryman and Ursa! The room looked out on the garden and was so peaceful, with all of the amenities that we needed. The only reason we gave it 4 stars is that it was rather small, as is to be expected in this case. We can't wait to return for another visit.

This was one of the most relaxing weekends we've had in a long time. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The rooms and food were great. God did a wonderful job of making the trees and river beautiful. Glenrose is a friendly town with nearby restaurants and shops. Thank you for a great weekend.

Just got done spending 3 days at The Inn for a Catholic silent retreat. This was the first time I had done anything like this and I couldn’t have asked for a better venue. Because it was a silent retreat, I didn’t really get to talk to the owners or staff but they were SO incredibly accommodating to our group and friendly throughout. I will definitely be coming back - couldn’t ask for a better place to unwind. The food was spectacular, too. The lemon tres leches cake was one of the best things I have ever eaten and will be a taste that I will spend a long time searching for. Room was extremely comfortable (bed was 1000000x more comfortable than modern hotel - even the sheets and pillows were luxurious).

We had such a lovely stay last night! The atmosphere is so cozy and the staff is so lovely and accommodating. Pam made us delicious French toast in the morning and told us the fascinating history of the inn!

We attended the Battle of the Bands Murder Mystery on New Year’s Eve and it was great. The Inn is just the place to totally relax and enjoy yourself. We stayed only one night but met Pam and Scott along with some really nice guests.
Pam is the owner and if she doesn’t make you feel welcome then I just don’t know what you want. Scott was our bartender and we enjoyed lots of laughs with him.
The Inn is really a great place to visit all year. We will definitely be back in the summer to enjoy the river.

We went here 3 1/2 years ago on our honeymoon. My new husband thought I booked us in a creepy old house. There was no TV for him to watch. He found other things to occupy his time 😉 and ended up asking to stay an extra day. The food at the Tavern was phenomenal!
I just saw the ad for the NYE Party and added our story to the contest. We won! The party was perfect for us. No crazy drunks or college kids. 80's Themed was our era. Met some interesting people. But after a very hard year and a harder one coming , we needed a chance to be alone and remember why we love each other. It reminded us of how nothing mattered but us when we were there before. It re-focused us. Thank you for the gift. We'll keep you posted on the liver transplant.
PS...The hot bath was one of the best things. Breakfast was creative and we got our required black eyed peas! Kiss Ryman's nose for me!
