Stone Hut Fossil Shop is a must see located near Dinosaur Valley State Park. The owner is one of the most genuine, personable, and kind people, offering great hospitality and entertainment. He is very knowledgeable and generous with his time and information on the area, often telling jokes and stories. The shop has a massive collection including local fossils, rocks, meteorites, petrified wood, ammonites, trilobites, and arrowheads, with items also bought from the wholesale show in Tucson. Everything is very reasonably priced and he is more than willing to make a deal. He even gives free fossils, including to children who dig in the sand-pile. It is a delightful highlight, the best stop for fossils in the area, and a great resource for collectors and museums.

Absolutely loved it here. The owner is very warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable! My mom and I learned so much about local fossil hunting, and we purchased some very cool stuff for a low cost. I hope to be back soon!

We stopped here on a geology field trip and Mr. Bussey was so welcoming. He told us about where all of the fossils and petrified wood are collected from and gave us some great info on who to get in contact with to dig up our own the next time we're in the area. Thanks!
