This building was built before 1928. It was originally home of a cedar tree cutter, coon hunter & whiskey bootlegger, Herman Shields! We bought it after a good friend, Liz Sheryl, passed away. She had sold rock & fossil jewelry here. We kept the name of the Shop to honor Liz. I am a Cajun re-branded to Texas. We moved here in 1976. After working construction, I wanted to do something fun. What is fun? This is My World! Just stop to chat awhile, I'll tell you a few jokes, some stories & give you information on the area. I have local fossils, rocks, meteorites, and sometimes arrowheads. I also have items I buy at the wholesale show in Tucson Arizona! Bring the kids to dig in my sand-pile & take home local fossils they find!
