Wheeler Branch Park is a well-kept, scenic, and spotless park set in the foothills of the Brazos River Valley. It is a beautiful clear water reservoir with very clean water, offering a beautiful view. The park provides a solid setup for scuba training and casual outings, used by divers for practice and rescue training. Underwater visibility typically ranges from 10 to 20 feet. Visitors can enjoy fishing from the nice pier, kayaking, swimming in the clear water, and walking on the trail around the water's edge. The grounds are impressively clean with tables, convenient and clean bathrooms, a public pavilion, and built-in overhangs. Free life vests are available to borrow. The staff is really friendly and welcoming, contributing to a positive experience. It is a perfect family day destination and a reliable spot to relax, train, and spend time outdoors, well worth the visitor fee. The drive in is just as beautiful as being at the lake, making the whole area something special.
Loved it the people super nice and because it was summer nice hit summer with cool water but there is a bad thing you better get in the park early in the weekends overall perfect

It was great. There's a dock to jump off of all the kids were really enjoying it. It's very beautiful lake. We tried to fish but it wasn't great for that. Very friendly stuff.
