The Gonzales Memorial Museum is a neat little museum where the Texas revolution began. Its centerpiece is the actual "Come and Take It" cannon from the Battle of Gonzales. The museum houses an eclectic collection of local artifacts, photos, and far more interesting artifacts than expected, offering a fascinating part of Texas history. The memorial itself is a beautiful art deco design with a long blue pool of water outside. Well worth a visit, it is a must-see for history buffs and all Texans to pay respect to the brave souls that sacrificed everything.
