We walked in and the place stunk. We sit down and order our drinks and they tasted like straight dirt so I ask if the water is bad and if they are on a boil notice or something and they waitress told me no, so I called the city and they informed me that they were 100% on a boil water notice. After we got our bill I noticed it was $90+ for 2 adults and 2 kids. They are way over priced, $8 for a bowl or canned peaches, $13 for 4 drinks we didn’t even drink because they were so bad. I highly recommend finding somewhere else to eat!!!

Food was great and relatively quick. Wasn't many people there and o ly one staff member working the front so service was a little slow. Would definitely come here again when in the area.

This place is so over priced and the food is plain!! The meat was very very dry and the fries tasted disgusting!!! They smelled like they were cooked in either peanut oil or oil that had been sitting there and hadn’t been cleaned in weeks!!! Do not eat here it’s not that great at all!! I would have rather ate an allsups burrito!!!??

The homade fires are my favorite. I walked out stuffed, but it was worth it.

We drifted in for lunch after a morning of hunting, to find the restaurant deserted, but very clean and well-kept. The waitress/cook (only person there) was friendly enough. After waiting for an hour we got our food, and it was ok. Nothing special. The wait was unreasonable, given the fact that we were the only patrons the whole time we were there. When our check came, it was $89 for one steak and carne guisada. The waitress just smiled and laughed when I asked if there was some mistake. "Yes, the 'market price' for the ribeye is $49" Kinda explains why no one else was there. If you want ordinary food at eye-popping prices, ZJ's is the place to go.

Most of the food is kinda bland. Like we got the queso dip, which had no seasonings or added ingredients and tasted like canned cheese sauce.

I had friends visiting Eastland County on a Sunday and I was very happy to find Zj's to be one of the few places open. We went middle of the afternoon so it wasn't very busy. The food was good, especially the fried okra which we all shared and enjoyed. We all came away satisfied and grateful to have found such a tasty lunch

Absolutely terrible. We pulled up at 5:40 on a Saturday night and were the only ones in there. It didn’t take us long to find out why. Prices are ridiculous. Food looks nothing like the pics they have on Facebook. Charged us $.25 for a lemon in our water. Charged us $.79 for butter to go on our baked potatoes. Sirloin steak looked like it was bought from one of those frozen meat trucks. Would bet money the shrimp came from the frozen section at Walmart. Unbelievably bad. Very disappointed.
