With the holidays coming up, I thought I’d let everyone know how horrible the pickup option is with the African American manger. I love Michael’s and this location is just minutes from my home. On one pickup occasion, I ordered a Christmas tree for pickup, as soon as I got the notification that the order was ready with instructions on parking and letting them know I arrived. Me and my kids got in the car and went to do just that. It was about an hour after they opened. I followed instructions, waited maybe 20 minutes then just got out the car and requested order. I figured they were busy since that woman looked at me and walked away. Fine. The following year, I ordered garlands for pickup. It was right after 5:30/5:45 pm and the sun was going down. Mind you, I’m rushing from work since I have to cook. I follow instructions and wait. I even see that same manager come outside empty handed and look at my car from the door!!!! Ok, wait another 10 minutes then get out the car and she’s there with that mean, unfriendly face and attitude to match. She does not greet me or ask if she can help but just looks at me so I say I’m here for a pickup, she asks my name and begins to get my order. I ask, do yall not take the orders out like the instructions and pickup advertises? She says “No.” I asked why and she replied, oh it’s dark, & that’s not safe. The parking lot at pickup parking spaces are also well lit. Seems like laziness to me when thats part of your job. If it’s unavailable, don’t advertise it. Anytime I have to interact with her, she is so rude. She always walks by in a rush with no manners. I love the store but hate going because of her.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I absolutely would. The only redeeming quality of my experience was the staff at the front, who were incredibly helpful and polite. They greeted me with a smile and seemed genuinely happy to assist. However, things took a dramatic turn as soon as I reached the ribbon-cutting area. There was an African-American lady with glasses who, from the vibe I got, might have been the manager. I had to make a point of staying polite and calm, but it felt like I was being chased out. It left such a bad taste in my mouth that I seriously have no desire to come back.
I would suggest that the management take a long hard look at how they treat their customers because that kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in any setting. I will say though, that the girls and the young man at the front that were helping me with my purchase were very attentive and caring made up for the experience at the very least, but it’s a shame, because the initial experience was promising, but it was all downhill from there. definitely won’t be retuning.

I had Dynasty help me find a few items and get my fabric cut. She was very helpful. The store however, is understaffed and understocked.

I have always used micheals, i gave them a 4 because it's so claustrophobic now they are working to get JoAnns customers, which is fine, but they have added product that JoAnns used to carry in a very confined place it's crazy. They need a bigger store.
