These days, I usually shop online because customer service isn't what it used to be. Rack Room at the Grand Prairie outlets proved my point. I had the displeasure to be helped by Brittney, the assistant manager. She was rude, condescending, and tried to cheat me. I had to exchange a pair of shoes that I bought online that didn't fit. We chose another pair and took them to the checkout. I smiled at this young lady, expecting a return smile and the customary "Did you find everything you needed today?". I got no response and a big sigh, like she was about to be so put out having to complete my transaction. As she was checking the shoes to make sure they were both the right size in the box, I caught her making a quick move to put them back in and cover them. It just seemed suspicious to me, so I opened the box back up, and sure enough, the shoe had two big gouges on the top, like they accidentally were cut somehow. She tried to let me walk out of that store with damaged shoes! A normal (and decent) person would have pointed it out and set the shoes aside, and grabbed me another pair. I showed her the very obvious damage to the shoe and she stupidly replied "Oh, do you want a different pair?" in a patronizing tone. Yes, I would want another pair, because I would have to drive back out there (45 minutes for me) to return those once I got home. She had another employee get the shoes, and she also told her to place the damaged pair back on the shelf! When my transaction was completed, she handed me the receipt and I proceeded to look that over. Frankly, I just didn't trust her at that point, and wanted to make sure she didn't mess that up. She asked me in a very condescending way "Do you need me to explain something to you?" as if I am dumb. I have a Master's degree in business and own two companies of my own, so I don't need a rude retail store employee to explain anything to me. Brittney is the kind of employee that will lose business for you Rack Room because you just lost mine. Her unprofessional attitude and laziness to not damage out the shoes shows she doesn't care. Now someone else is going to buy those shoes and have to go through the process of making a return trip because of her ineptitude. Terrible! Gave one star because of good merchandise, took away 4 because of her!

The associates working on 11/22/2023 at closing were very rude & tacky! Maybe if you took pride in your appearance YOU WOULD HAVE BETTER SERVICE & MAYBE BETTER SELF ESTEEM! If you hate your job QUIT but Do NOT GIVE bad service you are getting PAID! YOU ARE NOT WORKING FOR FREE!

We found some nice shoes here. However, they have a buy one get one half off deal. Which is only on select shoes, so make sure you pay attention to which ones are on sale. We weren't paying attention, which made us feel like we were tricked. Guest we should have been paying more attention.

Store was not open at 12 noon. People have no energy to open store and are taking out trash at 12:15 pm.

Good place to get shoes, especially for kids who grow quickly. Prices have gone up but what hasn’t at this point. They still have good band shoes and discounts.

Rack Room Shoes was packed when we arrived although there was no wait. There were several different types and brands of shoes in stock and the prices were pretty low compared to other shoe stores. When speaking with staff they were very nice and professional and went out of their way to earn our business. I would definitely revisit Rack Room Shoes again in the near future.

Sale details are very unclear. Staff not helpful wouldn't check for alternative sizes, manager was helpful but the staff before her refused to help and led us to believe we would be getting a BOGO and then when it didn't process the discount she said it had

We went in to buy shoes for my daughter. Everything was good until we got in line. There was only one person in front of me waiting, with one person at each register. (There's two) The customer at the left register continued to send her daughter back and forth to get shoes! Literally over five times! Then the mother gets out of line to go look at the shoes as well!! This is all while the line is getting longer and longer! At this point, EVERYONE in line is asking the lady behind the register, to cancel the lady's transaction until she's actually ready and let's get the line moving. With a nasty attitude, she's telling us no, the lady already started so she can't cancel. She said, the lady waited in line to so she wasn't going to cancel it. Then she said, either way we only have one register soooo!! Literally her words!!! When I asked another lady if she was the manger, the same cashier steps over with that same nasty attitude claiming that she's the manger and she still wasn't going to cancel the lady's transaction to move the line along!! She was the short Hispanic with a black and white striped shirt on that showed her belly when she moves her arms!! I've never heard of any store not being able to cancel a transaction!! What happens when a person card declines and they can't pay!? You cancel that transaction!! So the fact that she's thought we were stupid enough to believe that she, the SO CALLED MANAGER, couldn't cancel a transaction once it's started, is insulting!! Take her back to training because her customer service skills are garbage and if she didn't want to work today, she should have called in!! It was MORE than just me that was upset about this and voiced it!!
