Can’t say enough positive things about the firearms dept of Bass Pro Shops, Grapevine, TX. I am a loyal client and friend to these guys from my stellar experiences with purchasing new rifles and setting up the entire beautiful package. Paul Moore has created a team and runs the perfect deliverable with a knowledge base where all can benefit even those with high acumen in this space. The guys in the gunsmith…range area, Keith Walter and Paul Beckham, are certified experts and are impeccable perfectionist with mounting optics to a point where all aspects are spot on dialed in for the absolute long run. Thanks for everything gentlemen and grateful to have ya’ll in the area!

I love Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine. I've always had a good experience. Great store, and sometimes a long wait because it's always busy, but that's not on them. Made a purchase for a firearm and although it was a 10 minute wait, their employee "PK" absolutely knocked it out of the park. Customer service is HUGE to me, especially these days when the art is completely lost but "PK" went above and beyond to assist me. Thorough, shared advice I really needed, and gave me an absolute wealth of information and insight in areas I needed based on my lack of knowledge on the subjects we discussed. Personable, friendly, and treated me like a friend/colleague more than anything. 100% the reason I'll return, and frankly, hope to get to work with him again. I don't rave about people often, but "PK" is the man!

This place was like an amusement park. So much awesome stuff and in my opinion at great values. I could easily spend an hour in here just wondering around. They definitely have all your outdoor adventure needs. I think they have the biggest gun bar I have ever seen.

Normally we have good experiences in the store but this last time, not so much. Our son got a bow for Christmas and we live about 2 hours away where we don't have access to a range. He finally got it adjusted and was excited to shoot it for the first time, especially with the 3D targets that are at this store. There was no information about the range on thier website so we called ahead to see costs, if we had to sign up for a specific time or what was needed for us to bring. We also asked what time they closed and were told 7. We came to the store to shoot around 430 and the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted by a manager telling us in a dismissive tone that the range was closed. When I inquired about it, he said, "Oh they normally take the last shooter and hour before the store closes but they close early on Sunday." When we expressed that they didn't say anything about that when we called and how far we drove, he just shrugged it of, didnt directly address what we said, grabbed my son's bow and put a zip tie on it without asking. We didn't have anything else in the store so we decided to just leave. When I asked him if they knew of any other archery ranges around, he said "I don't know of any ranges, I was surprised there was even one here".We understand that he maybe didn't know, but there are so many better ways this could have been addressed. He could have apologized for the representative misguiding us, or our wasted trip. He could have tried to ask someone else in the store if they knew of any or even mention the other Bass Pro Shops or Cabelas in the area with ranges. Perhaps even let us know that he would make sure the staff doesnt make the same mistake again. None of these were mentioned so we left the store feeling dismissed and our son disappointed after being so excited to practice here and sitting for over 4 hours of driving. It's one thing if there is a misunderstanding, but as a manager, at least be apologetic for your and/or your employee's part in that situation.

As good as Cabela's, if not better. There's so much to do in there besides shopping. Take the kids. Make a morning of it...or an afternoon. If you're into hunting or fishing of any sort, or know someone who is, this is the place. I only went in for shoes. I'm pretty sure they do more than hunting and fishing... probably anything outdoors. Kayaking, hiking, bird watching, skiing, etc. If you go in for shoes on the weekends, ask for Zane.
