This location didn't have the actual truck size we reserved a few days prior. While that was disappointing, Megan did fix the problem by letting us rent a larger truck for the same price. As they say bigger isn't always better and it surely applies in this scenario. We reserved a smaller truck because we didn't need the space but more importantly because we were working out of an apartment complex and the larger trucks can't back into a space without blocking the traffic through the lot. So we had to park perpendicular to parked cars and had to move often to let them out. While the liftgate was a huge plus on the larger truck, it didn't save time due to all the moving to unblock cars. While the overall experience with Budget this time around was more in the middle of the road, Megan's willingness and effort to make things right was really impressive so we're bumping it up a bit. Thank You, Megan!

Had a reservation and confirmation. When I went to pick up my van they didn’t have any… just like the episode of Seinfeld. Anyone can take a reservation… it’s the holding of the reservation that counts

Where do I start…so this place confirms my reservation. I get to the facility and they say they have NO trucks available mind you in driving from Forney. They then proceed to tell me they can have me a truck in a matter of mins. Already I’ve been told there was s truck then NO trucks to we can have one ready in s matter of mins. The truck provided to me wasn’t all the way operable. The key was falling from the fob which makes the truck not start. Again, they knew the key was an issue but failed to mention it to me. After wasting more time & money they bring me a replacement truck. On my day to return the truck I called to receive directions on how to proceed because I would be arriving late from my route because of the late start I received plus the additional time I had to wait on replacement truck. Meghan tells me she works Monday morning and as long as the truck is there Sunday night and she sees it first thing Monday morning then I would NOT BE CHARGED the additional day. But of course they charge my card. I called back to correct it Meghan says she needs to speak to a manager(Mrs. Katie). The resolution is that I did not receive a deposit back and I was still charged that additional day. Please don’t use this facility if you don’t have to. There will be numerous inconveniences and a huge hassle. I’m not the only one. I have 3 other box truck owner operators that have similar stories to this. Not sure if it’s all the budget locations or just this one but they are definitely giving budget a terrible rep. Live & learn. Not upset with these ppl but I would like to inform any potential customers what they would be getting into with this budget. Budget off Samuel in Dallas provided a much better experience for anyone who absolutely has to use budget truck rentals. I pray this facility can turn it around. Be blessed!

I just rented a moving truck from Budget Grapevine and it was a fantastic experience.These reviews had me concerned, but honestly, the staff at this location couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. I was in need of a 16' truck and equipment to tow my car. I've never driven a truck this size nor have I ever towed anything, let alone a car. The people at the front desk walked me through the entire process, walked outside to show me how to hook up the towing equipment, and showed me how to load/unload my car. All in all, I couldn't ask for better customer service! Thank you guys!

Everyone I called no truck available r miles away. three stores I called were not very knowledgeable about wherever a truck rental is.

If zero or negative stars were possible I would rate this Budget office as minus 5 stars - I rented my car and called to extend my reservation - I was told my reservation was through the date I requested - when I returned the car I was charged another $195 for two days as the staff here in Grapevine refused to accept what I told them even though I showed her my phone proving I called and she said I should have downloaded the APP or called them as she did not believe I spoke to any Budget representative - FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE - DO NOT RENT HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY THE STAFF

We rented a truck today. Kate at the desk was the least hospitable and least customer service oriented person we’ve encountered in a long time. The truck interior is filthy and the drivers side mirror does not work properly. We went back in and I asked for another truck. She runs out and starts pulling on the passenger side mirror Then jumps in the truck and runs it around the lot. She proceeds to “show me” how to manipulate the mirror that barely moves. I tell her I can see the side of the truck or the back. She tells me that that’s not where I need to see. I asked to see another truck to see if it’s mirror works the same way and point to one near us. She tells me that that truck is out of service and that I can’t have it. The truck is filthy and I tell her it’s disgusting and she says it’s not a new truck. I said I wasn’t expecting new but I aLso wasn’t expecting filthy. She says she doesn’t think it’s disgusting and walked off. We drive away and I try to make it work. Calling Budget customer service was equally as frustrating. I asked for a supervisor or manager and the person says she can’t find one. She tells me I have to take the truck back to where I got,it or call roadside assistance. I request a supervisor again and she tells me that the supervisor is going to tell me the same thing. I request a supervisor and get Michael who tells me the same thing. They did not offer to call roadside assistance or to make arrangements with another location. We are out of time and have to move today. Neither Kate nor the customer service team provided any service. Moving is stressful enough with out people like this making it worse.

NEVER forget to return your rental car to Budget without a full tank a gas. I was just charged $47.80 a gallon for 10 gallons for a total of $478 for half a tank of gas…. Thanks Budget! That’s a great way to retain customers.

Its a bad place to rent the moving truck, i came to pick up the 16 ft truck for my moving to Houston, i was waiting in the front office for more than an hour and went home without the truck!!! They couldnt find the moving truck for me!!! A day before people from Budget called and talked me regarding buying the damage insurance and they said my truck will be ready for my move! I've arranged everything for the move!!! Very frustrating and disappointed for the horrible unreliable business!!! The lady who works there today was cery helpful though

SCAMERDO NOT RENT FROM BUDGET TRUCK RENTAL. ESPECIALLY THIS LOCATION. MARY KATIE, or KATHERYN PIGEON Or whatever her name is. She has about 10 aliases. Stole money from me not once but twice She was charging me for trucks that I did not have and she knew .She kept telling I'm only changing you for the truck you have with me ."SUPRISE"BUDGET refunded me almost 7000 back.Moving forward She said that she did not charge me for mileage and I owed a total of 5400 for milesfrom February to Jun 24.june 24th I gave her 4,000 CASHJuly 2nd she said that I now owe her 6696.69 more. I gave her 3,000 CASH more.JULY 11 I gave her another 3,000 CASHA GRAND TOTAL OF 10,000 CASH.Remember all I owed for the mileage not charged was 5423.81. She charged my card every week for the rentals 420, 225,and 225 so I'm not behind on that.WEEK 4 COMES AROUND SHE TELLS ME THAT i OWE HER 5000 MORE.All of this all while threatening to take the trucksThis is the best part of all I asked for receipts she can't produce them But now all of a sudden corporate has lots of them Some might ask why would I give herCash money without receiving a receipt well she texted my phone Stating that she would applyt cash to my account.Her stealing from me has really impact my company in a bad way.SCammer for sure

I reserved the truck and guess what when I get there they said I never did .They told me they will have a truck moved from another location in next 1 hour and I waited about 3 hours and they told me they don’t know if they still coming today .What a bad service .Unbelievable!!!!

Don't do it! I reserved a truck weeks in advance but when we arrived they refused to rent the truck to us unless we purchased their insurance - which increased the rental price by 53%!! I had to scramble to find another truck. Luckily Penske was happy to match the price at the last minute. There is a reason why the other companies charge a little bit more - just pay it and save yourself money and aggravation in the long run

I rented a moving truck from this center. Jordan was amazing for my little family. Helped us with making sure we had everything we needed. Make sure to read the fine print ppl alot of these customer reviews are from not reading what the company has imposed when renting not the customer service agent. After i moved had a smooth drop off with our same agent! Just always make sure to take a picture of the mileage when you start and end on ANY rental. As well as return with a full tank of gas, i always advise filling up.close to wherever you drop off and keep a copy of the receipt or take a picture of the receipt for double safety!! Hope these tips help

Almost got ran off the road by a customer, got threatened by a gangster in a du-rag with gang signs. Tried calling to report this and Jordan was very rude on the phone. Asked for corporate number and his response was “yea it’s 1800-GO BUDGET” and hung up on me rudely. He did not let me get one word in. This is not how you treat people. I was frightened for my life and my children’s life.

I made reservations a month ago and called to check confirmation. Was told I had no reservations. When I asked if I could make some was told there were ZERO trucks within 100 miles. In the way of customer service was told -- oh well. Yes they are the cheapest but they are the worst. I wish there was a no star rating!
