We went to this location to open an account, based on the Yelp reviews and were expecting to write a glowing review. What should have been a 15 minute transaction took an hour and turned out to be an uncomfortable frustrating experience. The banker Aryck unexpectedly popped out of his seat after entering the information and simply said excuse me I have to check something. Aryck abruptly closed his laptop and walked out of the room with the laptop and my husband's driver's license in his hand. My husband and I sat there for 15 minutes speculating as to what happened. Did he get called into an emergency meeting ? 15 minutes later Aryck walks into the office and says that my husband's information was flagged in some bank verification system by another bank for $70 ... and more information was required. So my husband pulls up his banking app from another bank and Aryck proceeds to scroll and review the activity without even asking for my husband's permission . He wanted to see direct deposit activity etc. All of this over $70.... We have opened accounts at other banks and have never had such an uncomfortable experience. Then to top it off Aryck proceeded to draft up the papers for my husband to sign and did not ask him if he wanted to designate a beneficiary, but simply told my husband to sign the paper work without a POD - no beneficiary. This was not Aryck's choice to make and his responsibility was to ask my husband if he wanted to assign a beneficiary. We were extremely surprised at the level of service and will not be going back to this branch.

This is nothing but a SCAM. Don't buy. ATTN ALL REALTORS. Please stop perpetuating these home warranty plans at home closings. There are so many loopholes and co-pays that the only ones coming out ahead are the home warranty vendors. This is what happened to us: It states in their brochure not to call your own contractor when something breaks down. BUT-- Our AC unit stopped working July 18 (99+ temps) so we called our contractor who dropped everything to come out. He said he would have to come back in the morning but thought it was done for good. He came back Friday and said we needed a new unit. This is someone we have worked with for ten years and he is very reputable. We also had him look at the AC when we purchased the house and was told then it was just a matter of time since it was 32 years old. We then realized we had NATIONS home warranty pkg and called them before he did any work on it. This is what they told us: "We won't cover it as you did not use our service people "- who could not come out until Monday--FOUR DAYS FROM NOW IN 100+ temperatures. And that would only be to look at it, not to fix it. They would have to make another trip for that. They then told us we should have bought 2 window units to get us by until then. Which we would then have 2 AC units to pay for ($1000 out of our pocket, non reimbursable) and not use again sitting in our small garage. All we asked was for them to pay us what they would have paid THEIR service people who couldn't respond for 4 days. But because it states in the brochure that they won't reimburse us for using our people that we are out of luck. This is a loophole. Our guy DID NOT start to fix the unit. Then their service rep called us and told us she couldn't do anything for us and spent over ten minutes on the phone praising their service people about how great they are. And this AFTER we told her we were sitting in a restaurant eating dinner. SO BUYER BEWARE. READ EVERYTHING IN THEIR 12 PAGE BROCHURE EVEN WHILE YOU ARE IN THE MIDST OF MAJOR FAILURE. Because they just want your money and really don't care about the people that are in need of immediate help. This applies to ALL the quack home warranty groups. Even the stuff they cover is more expensive once you pay their co-pays - it's cheaper to just hire your own people. I posted this same story on Nextdoor and 99% of the people responding had nothing but bad luck with the scammy home warranty groups. They will only fix a problem with a band-aid, charge you a copay each time, and refuse to replace anything. The next time you buy/sell a home REFUSE the home warranty. You are paying for it when you sell your home and the seller of the home you are purchasing is paying for it as well. The only ones coming out ahead is the home warranty group. I read thru the entire brochure and most of the services the SAY they will take care of has a copay higher than what you can get it done for locally without the phone calls and wait. TOTAL RIP-OFF & waste of your hard earned money.

Nations Home warranty doesn't honor their warranty. My HVAC Warranty was denied due to "lack of maintenance" even though I have receipts from the purchase of my home that the specific maintenance was done; it was part of the closing documentation. Their warranties mean absolutely nothing to them. They'll charge you money to come look at something, not fix it, then deny a claim that would fix it. Absolutely a company that does not honor any part of their warranty. The warranty company responded saying "maintenance issues". I had precise receipts showing the exact maintenance in question was done by a reputable HVAC company within the past 8 months. Nations Warranty hung up on me while I was telling them about the receipts and explaining that their reason for denial wasn't correct. They never once even wanted to see the receipts that conflicted with their denial of the warranty claim. They didn't return any future call. My realtor had to reach out to their area sales manager to even get this warranty company to listen why their denial decision wasn't correct. They simply hung up on me without even any interest in the documentation of the exact repair they mentioned. I paid $65 for them to send someone out to my house, not fix anything, and then say "denied" on the warranty. They will not honor their warranty unless it's financially beneficial to them. You'll receive a "denial" claim over the phone then they'll hang up on you if you try to disagree

I wanted to like Nations Home Warranty as it was recommended to me by my real estate agent, unfortunately my experience with them was extremely sub-par. The service from Nations Home Warranty themselves is not the problem, the problem is that the companies they sub-contract to fix the problems are some of the worst contractors I have ever met. I had to call out the AC guy and the plumber. The AC guy basically overloaded my AC with Freon, I only know this because there was a leak in my ceiling for 2 days after their work... I contacted Nations which basically just sent the same shoddy workers back, who then quoted me the FULL price to replace the AC, without mentioning to do ANYTHING for the leak. I have never seen service like this, and am extremely disappointed. I ended up hiring an outside AC firm not at all affiliated with Nations, and paying them slightly more to replace the unit, because I had 0 trust in the Nation's guys. With the plumber, the plumber came out 2 times (through Nations), "fixed" the issue, charged me $65 each time, and then the problem came back a month later. Similarly, I hired an outside company to come in afterwards and complete the job. I can not express in words how disappointed I am with this overall experience.

I rarely leave reviews, but feel the need to leave one after a horrible experience with Nations. We've had a home warranty with them for 2 years now and have had relatively decent interactions with them. However, 2 weeks ago our washing machine stopped working. We called Nations and they sent out a repairman. The repairman replaces some parts, so I started a load of laundry that evening. It immediately began to smoke and smelled STRONGLY like a fire. We stopped it almost instantly. We called Nations to send someone out again. They did, and that person said that our Nations wouldn't allow them to do anything else because it technically worked properly, but was just going to smell like that and potentially smoke again. They said that they couldn't come back out until it actually broke and wouldn't work at all. My husband called Nations to complain about this - we have 2 adults, 2 dogs and a BABY in our house. Not only do we need our working washing machine, but we really need one that won't set our house on fire and kill us all. Nations said no manager was available and they'd call us that evening. Of course, that never happened. My husband finally got a hold of someone who told him the smoking smell wasn't causing the machine to not work so there was nothing they could do. I'm not willing to risk the safety of my family or home by testing their theory that the smoke/fire smell is harmless, but I would think they wouldn't want that potential liability on their hands. Worthless warranty, and extremely careless people. Why do we pay for this warranty for these exact situations if they refuse to do their job? Think twice before buying a warranty with Nations.

Beware, this is basically a scam. I have filed enough claims now to see the pattern. Nations contracts with local companies who are likely paid very little and therefore have the intention of finding ways of not cover repairs. The last four times I have had Nations send someone out they have found a reason why they can't repair the item without charging an additional amount. For instance. The blower fan on my AC unit went out which is specifically covered by the warranty. The repair company, Rockwall Heating and Air, tells me that the fan is definitely dead and would not be covered unless they do a "cleaning" first. The literally charged me $400 to clean the fan before replacing the motor. This only took about an hour or so to accomplish, so this was nothing more than a way to extract more money from me. Same thing happened when I called about my microwave, they claimed that the repair would not be covered because the unit had been previously repaired incorrectly. Same with my pool heater, repair not covered because the electronics are not included in the warranty. The bottom line, the warranty might be good if you happen to have a failure of an expensive covered part, but be prepared for the repair person to find many other things that are not covered and must be completed for your warranty to be valid.

Nations refused to honor their contract with regard to our oven. We have a steam oven. The contract specifies that "ovens" are covered. It does not specify anywhere what type of ovens are covered. After trying to reach him for almost 2 weeks, I finally spoke with Operations Manager Billy Latko, and he said that only "typical" ovens are covered. He kept telling me that gas ovens or convection ovens would be covered because they are "typical" ovens, and the contract only covers "typical" ovens. He could not show me where in the contract it says only "typical" ovens are covered. He also could not tell me that a steam oven is not an oven. He interpreted the contract to his suit him, rather than honoring the plain language of the contract.

A waste of money. I've had to pay a $65.00 service fee twice because they send a company that can't diagnosis the problem. It's there way of making a profit. Run the other way. I followed up with the VP of Real Estate Sales and within 5 minutes responded that she plans to issue me refund. Following up with someone can pay off.

Oven door outer glass exploded while preheating oven. Guess what? NOT COVERED. Not "normal wear and tear." They didn't ask for a description of what happened, didn't see it in person, and didn't ask for pictures. Called me immediately after online claim at 10 pm to assure me that it would NOT be covered. Google shows a class action against all major appliance companies for this reoccurrence. Range digital display too dim to even read temperature or timer. Dim displays are NOT COVERED, only blank displays. Range burners had gas flow that was too low to cook. Service call, $65 and sort of repaired. Main plumbing line too corroded to turn on and off. NOT COVERED unless you add the main line coverage for $100+. Added coverage, filed claim. NOT COVERED because it's not "normal wear and tear." Cited that it was reported as pre-existing in the home inspection (it was not and they didn't have a copy of the report anyway.) Water heater overflow pan full of water. Plumber sent over and disconnects water heater and leaves us without hot water for several days. We take a buy out and upgrade to a tankless in the attic. It has now taken 13 visits to install and repair problems they created including a gas leak the morning after and a roof leak. 5-6 hour job took well over 15 hours plus follow ups.

If I could leave a half star I would - this company is a joke. First, offered me $1000 for my a/c replacement if I used their contractor but since I decided to use my own a/c guy who was less expensive, they will only pay me $200 as a buyout. Second, my a/c contractor noted I had a gas leak linked to the hot water unit - very scary!!! I asked him to cap it off so I could still use our stove. I filed a claim with Nations - I had to wait 4 days before anyone could come out - mind you this is a gas leak we are talking about - they came out finally, spent another whole day only to let me know they won't cover any part since they don't cover the access to get to the leak... actually told me I needed to get my a/c guy back out to reconnect this gas line which has a leak so they can inspect on their own (to find on their own the gas leak already pointed out to them?!?!?) - seriously wanted me to uncapp a known line that has a leak to let more natural gas leak into my home exposing myself and my family? WTF. I would be even angrier than I am if I had purchased the useless policy (came with the purchase of our home). Seriously, DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY. I'd be embarrassed to be associated whatsoever with this company.

Not really sure why I am bothering.. they obviously do not care an iota about their bad reviews. I purchased several investment properties in Dallas and my real estate agent recommended Nations because the do a free rekey on a new contract, which was very appealing. That said.. I paid them for two years on 6 properties. Even upping to a more expensive service because every time I called them.. they didn't cover whatever it was.. and the shysters they send out would offer to fix for an extraordinary price. So I had to go find someone else to fix.. which I always did for a much lower price! The last straw was when they sent out an electrician to fix an outlet that wasn't working ( Christmas lights) and the guy called and said.. " we don't cover that" and I'm to busy to even give you a quote to fix it.. meaning he had no intention of fixing.. he just drove by the house so he could get $65.00!! For nada! Anyway.. I cancelled all my contracts.. but again.. THEY DO NOT CARE. They don't make their money by keeping contracts! They make money from real estate agents! Stay away !!

Do NOT purchase coverage from this company. Run the other way as fast as you can. There are words to describe the level to which this company doesn't care but unprofessional is for sure one of them. What they "cover" is laughable and they don't send a technician to even evaluate for days. Do you leave a leak going for days? Or live without AC in 100+ degree weather for days? You might as well donate the price of the policy to charity as it would do more good there. You'll get NOTHING for the money you paid and no one all the way up to Tamera Gaede, Regional Sales Manager, cares to help.
