I've been going to Mouton's salon for a few years now. My stylist, Lilly, is PHONMENAL! She always makes me feel comfortable and most importantly I leave feeling confident with my hair! I usually just get a routine cut I have short/mid length hair and it is revived after each cut.
The receptionist staff are so kind and welcoming too. I appreciate being greeted promptly upon arrival. I recommend this salon and Lilly!

I've had mostly great service at Mouton's over the last 5 years and have referred numerous people here. My reason for the review is to let people know about the way they now charge for their services. I asked for all over color on my highlighted, thin, shorter than shoulder length hair. I was informed that there would be an extra charge if the stylist needed to use extra hair color. No problem. I didn't expect her to use any extra since my hair was so short and thin, and if she did, surely it wouldn't be more than $20 or $30.
I was charged for TWO complete hair color services. $114 for the all over color, and an additional $114 for the extra product that she used! So I was charged $228! When I emailed asking about the charge, the salon directors stood by the upcharge and said that was correct. She used extra product, so I paid DOUBLE. It was the same as if I had received two full hair color services.
So be aware that if extra product is used, you will end up paying TWICE as much. Especially be warned if you have long hair. I can't imagine what that would cost.
** I am not able to reply to Mouton's response, so I will here. I appreciate the offer of a small discount on a future service, but I will not return to a place that would do this to their clients. Also, that was not the reason for my review. It was simply to inform others of the pricing structure at Mouton's that is completely absurd.
I used to be a hairdresser and would never double the cost of the entire service for using extra color. Never. I also would never use that much color for a short haired client with highlights. My hair wasn't even blonde, just highlighted.

I love how sherri is so good on taking care of my hair since i havent had a haircut for almost 2 years and i got my beautiful short hair she really exceed my expectations .

I brought my tween daughter here and Lily cut her hair and did an amazing job! She walked through with my daughter what she wanted, what she would recommend, and then at the end went over everything before even starting, and gave tips along the way for styling at home! Definitely went above and beyond. On top of all that, the prices are some of the best in the area. Oh, and they do free bang trims in between cuts! Excited to have found this place.

Recently moved to Texas and needed to find myself a new hair girl! I tried one other salon/stylist prior to coming to Mouton's, but not sure they were a good fit when it came to expectations, skills, and customer service. Continued the hunt with a great amount of research and time hoping I would just find the right gal... Needless to say, I came across Mouton's and relied heavily on customer reviews. I started looking at the stylists' profiles via Instagram and was super impressed with everyone's work and experience. I finally made the choice to give Mouton's a shot and scheduled a consult with Helena. While finding the right salon and building relationships takes time, I knew that after talking with Helena we were ahead of the game! This girl took all my visions and relayed them back to me with such confidence, it was like she knew exactly what I wanted when I struggled to put what I wanted into my own words. Her bubbly and friendly personality made me feel welcomed and a part of all the wonderful things this salon does. Finally had my appointment with Helena this past weekend, and I am happy to say that I believe I did in fact find my gal. We had so much fun chatting it up and getting to know each other. It just goes to show that Helena is passionate about what she does and is there for the right reasons. Side note, I have never been to a salon that sends thank-you cards, offers snacks and alcoholic beverages, so this was a plus in the overall experience. Have to give a little shoutout to the front desk ladies as they are very attentive and welcoming too! Can't wait to come back for my next appointment!

I have been a customer at Mouton’s for about 4 years. When I first started going. I had the most amazing stylist; I didn’t think I’d find anyone I liked better. But she ended up moving back to her home state after a few years. Although she recommended several other stylists there, I was hesitant because she was the best stylist I’d ever had. Ultimately, I ended up seeing Lilly, and I love her! Not only is she up to date on current trends and best products, but she listens to my wants while also advising me about what will work best for my hair type. If you’re looking for exceptional quality, you will not go wrong at Mouton’s.

I'm always impressed with the professionalism of every Mouton staff member. The front desk staff is efficient with quickly checking in, making future appointments and accepting payments. I've used 3 of the stylists and have been happy with each one. I'm always asked what I liked or disliked about each haircut in order to make any necessary changes. They are a talented group of stylists. A nice service that they offer is a free bangs trim if you need it in between cuts.

I had a great experience at Mouton’s! Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and Laura did a fantastic job on my hair! Would highly recommend Mouton’s and will definitely be back next time I’m in town. :)

I came in and asked for a French bob with a fringe, I specifically mentioned that I wanted a blunt cut and I didn’t want it to balloon out around my head. I showed the stylist multiple pictures, more than what I have uploaded on here. She said she was going to add light layers so it didn’t balloon out. I trusted her thinking she knew what she was doing. She created a layer on the top of my head that was much shorter than the bottom layer, therefore giving it extra volume and creating exactly what I didn’t want. I told her my issue with the hair and she kept telling me that if she cut it one length then it would have ballooned out more. I explained that I’ve had a blunt short cut before and that it didn’t when I had, I showed her an old photo of my cut. She said that it’s cause my hair was a little longer. It’s common knowledge in the hair industry that layers creates volume so I’m not sure why she kept insisting leaving my hair one layer would’ve made it balloon out. Anyone know those emo/scene haircuts in the early 2000s? Those were all created with short layers at the top…I attached a photo of my long hair before, a photo of it after looking like a ?, photos of what I asked for, and photos of my hair previously when I had a short bob. It wouldn’t have mattered if my hair is cut shorter, had she not cut the top layers so short, it would’ve looked exactly like I asked. It would’ve weighed down my hair rather than making it look like a ball. I understand mistakes happen, that’s okay, my hair will grow, however if you clearly see you didn’t match the haircut wanted, you shouldn’t keep insisting on something you were wrong about. This is without a doubt the worst haircut I’ve ever received as an adult. She completely butchered it. Also, if you’re being asked for something you don’t know how to do, say so.
