I recently purchased a used 2016 F-150 from Freedom Ford in Greenville and wanted to share my experience.
After looking online for trucks and feeling overwhelmed by all the listings and fake trucks on Marketplace, my wife and I decided to stop by our local Ford dealership to see what they had in our price range.
Justin Findley met us in the parking lot and showed us several options, helping us narrow it down to the truck we were most interested in. He also took the time to go on a test drive with me. Justin was informative but never pushy, and he gave us the space and time we needed to make a decision. I really appreciate a salesperson who’s helpful without applying pressure.
Brent helped us with financing and made the process extremely smooth. He was able to match the interest rate our credit union offered on a used truck, and it was honestly the easiest financing experience I’ve ever had.
Shortly after the purchase, I had some concerns related to a check engine light and an overboost code. I’ll admit I was anxious at first, especially since it came up immediately after buying the truck. However, Cody Anderson (sales manager) and the service team took the time to listen to my concerns, walk me through what was checked, and explain their findings in detail.
The shop foreman personally explained that the wastegates were inspected and that the overboost code was attributed to a previously disconnected hose, with no codes returning afterward. They also addressed a misfire issue by replacing the spark plugs and coil boots. Throughout the process, the team was patient, professional, and transparent — even during the busy holiday schedule.
I appreciated that they didn’t rush me, answered my questions thoroughly, and made sure I was comfortable with the outcome before moving forward. The truck is running smoothly now, and I feel confident in how the situation was handled.

“Petty's recovered my wife's car after a minor wreck due to the recent winter storm. She was very grateful for their professionalism and assurances the car would be safely stored until we could get it. I went by to pay the bill and take the car but the right rear tire was flat and beyond repair. The staff stated they don't really work with flat tires but got a floor jack and pneumatic wrench and changed the bad tire for the spare anyway. That was much appreciated. While we never want to need a wrecking service, I would recommend Petty's if you do.”
