Hotel Texas Hallettsville is a very clean and cozy hotel with charming Texas decor. The rooms are large, comfortable, and well-kept, smelling good and featuring strong air conditioning. Some guests find the mattresses a little too firm or hard, while others appreciate the stiffness. The property is safe with well-lit parking and key card access for entrances. The friendly and professional front desk staff receives praise for a great sense of humor and fast check-in. The hotel offers a daily self-serve breakfast from 6-9 am, though it may occasionally run out of items like orange juice and creamer. Some guests note a discrepancy between advertised and actual hot breakfast items. The pool is kept very clean, but the hot tub's on/off switch was reported as broken. A minor drawback includes very thin towels. The location is walkable, with a couple of stores and a Pizza Hut next door. While generally excellent, small issues like feral cats outside or a non-working TV are occasionally mentioned. Overall, it is a nice hotel that guests would recommend and stay at again.
The room was clean and comfortable. Lots of room for walking our dog. Breakfast small but good with hot selections. Staff friendly. Come here each year as we head south

Hotel Texas is always hospitable with very friendly staff. I’ve stayed here several times while visiting my grandkids and Victor and Dee have been great. (And Dee knows a lot about Teslas too!). Highly recommend!

I love this place! Rooms are very well organized and clean! The hotel is conveniently located near a grocery store, Walmart, Pizza Hut, Mexican food restaurant, and a 24 hour What-a-burger. Easy 15 miles south of Interstate 10, worth the trip into Hallettsville! Fantastic ownership is just a bonus!
