Texaco Haltom City is a gas station with a popular taco counter inside. The food is delicious, so good, and hot and fresh, with a big selection of items. Their signature trompo meat is cooked right there in front. The tacos, including barbacoa, tripa, and trompo, are all on point. The caldo de res and the green and red salsas are also on point, with the red salsa being extra spicy. The place stays busy and can get packed, so the wait can take awhile, but it is worth it. There may be a language barrier at the counter. The tables could be cleaner. A downside is that salsa portions can be limited. Despite this, the overall experience is highly recommended for delicious, convenient tacos.
