Prefect rock climbing gym for a small town. They have bouldering, 40ft high auto belays, top rope and lead climbing. Friendly staff and a good set of routes for a skill levels.

TONS OF FUN!! I recommend this 10/10! It’s definitely a great workout and great overall experience and it’s worth every penny for the amount of time you can be in there. Just expect to be a little sore the next day lol.

The overall vibe was very nice. The people who worked there were extremely respectful and helpful to my family and I.

One of the best gyms I’ve been to! The staff were helpful, I was able to test out of the belay class with no wait but they also had a lot of auto belays and a nice bouldering section. Really cool creative routes, my girlfriends a beginner and I’ve been climbing for about 4 years now and we both had plenty of fun options. More friendly/approachable atmosphere than most gyms I’ve been too which was refreshing. Will definitely be back when I’m in the area again!

You can’t take a belay test during the week and must use auto belay which they only tell you after you pay. Also poor route setting (just because there are few holds far apart does not mean it’s a 5.11) and quite expensive for a day pass considering the previous statements. You’re essentially able to climb 1/4 of the gym but pay full price? It can’t be that hard to train staff on checking a belay test as most other gyms in the country do it this way. Probably the worst gym I’ve climbed at in comparison to at least 10-15 others.

Not a gym for serious climbers. Families and first-timers, knock yourselves out.1. Routes. Routes are rated according to scarcity of holds, not technical climbing ability. Posted grades do not reflect actual difficulty.2. Admin. Requiring a paid “class” to top-rope climb is absurd and out of step with most climbing gyms in the US. Despite 10+ years of indoor/outdoor experience, we did not have the option to test or even take the class, which is only offered on weekends.3. Staff. The single employee on shift was not trained or familiar with climbing techniques or equipment. This raises safety concerns for a facility filled with primarily young families/first-time climbers.

I'm still totally new to climbing, but I've had an absolute blast both times I've gone, and I plan to keep going back! It's a small, intimate space, so I'd suggest trying to go at less busy times. The staff is super friendly! It seems like they alter the courses occasionally to keep things fresh for visitors, which is nice. They have lockers you can use, just bring your own lock. Water fountains and bathrooms are available, too.

My nephew loves this place. Lots of experienced climbers willing to help beginners.

The routes aren't super well set, when I went all the the 5.9s were just holds that were really far away from each other instead of any technical difficulty. They require you to pay for and take a class on belaying even if you've been climbing for years. The womens bathroom is closed, no locker rooms either. The holds don't always match the climb, really difficult if you're even a little color blind. Only a few pieces of regular gym equipment and the hangboards are put in a really bad spot, you smack your head trying to get to them and then have to duck to use them. Overall, I'd rather drive to austin every day to climb at a nicer gym.

This is a fantastic place to go if you're an out of towner or local. Everyone was super nice and helpful. With 9 assisted lanes ranging from 5.9 to 5.13, it was exciting for my kids aged 7 to 11. They were able to do a lot on their own, and when I was helping the youngest of my kids, staff helped regularly. Loved the experience. Would definitely go again.

What's not so good: I cannot test out of the belay lesson class? I've been climbing and belaying longer than this place has been in business, but I need to wait for certain days of the week and a specific time to enroll in a safety course that I have literally been TEACHING for decades. I'm limited to your autobelay routes and bouldering routes. Fail. A "members only" piece of workout equipment in my face on the first floor? Not ideal. Move this stuff somewhere else. It does not give a welcoming feeling. Only ONE staff person working in the entire gym? If there was a second worker then we didn't notice it because they aren't in any kind of uniform. You're wasting a lot of your wall space. You have a bouldering area beneath plenty of wall that has no holds on it. It just looks like someone's a bit lazy in here. Where are your route setters? What's good: There are a lot of autobelay climbs. There are some fun boulder problems. The price is $20 per day (when you bring your own gear) which is reasonable compared with other gyms. The foosball and couches are a nice touch. Its fun to take photos from above the climbs.

Nice little climbing gym in the Harker Heights/Killeen area. More top rope/auto belay than bouldering, also a lot of auto belay options which is nice to have. Nice routes, look like they change fairly often. Friendly staff. Small gym area. They have rental equipment too. Can cost a bit if you are paying for a group/family. Walls are like 25-30ft tall?

I took ten teenage boys of all experience levels climbing at Boulder in Harker Heights. They had a blast. We planned to spend two hours but they weren’t ready to leave. More than enough skill climbs from easy to difficult. Skilled climbers will find challenging routes too. *****
