Academy Sports + Outdoors

Sporting Goods
Hours: Academy Sports + Outdoors offers a wide selection of quality products for hunting, fishing, camping, patio, barbecue, sports, and recreation. The large, new, and beautiful store has a good variety of merchandise, catering to fanatics, seasoned veterans, and newcomers alike. Customers report generally positive experiences, with helpful and attentive staff, especially in the gun department. However, the store has received some criticism. One reviewer found the staff unhelpful, as no employees approached to assist while they browsed. Another was disappointed by the lack of a military discount, unlike a nearby competitor. Some customers have also experienced long lines at the checkout, with inadequate cashiers to serve the volume of shoppers. In one case, a customer who only wanted to purchase a gift card had to wait in the main line before an employee stepped in to help them through a side register. Overall, Academy Sports + Outdoors provides a diverse shopping experience for outdoor and sporting enthusiasts, with room for improvement in customer service and checkout efficiency. Visitors are encouraged to visit the store's website for more information.
