As a mom, I am beyond grateful for the outstanding experience we had at Cardenas Mazda/BMW Harlingen for my daughter’s first car purchase. After encountering several disappointing visits to other local dealerships earlier that week, we immediately felt the difference here. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was calm, friendly, and professional.
There were no haggling games or endless back-and-forth with salespeople trying to push something we didn’t want. Instead, every step was clear and straightforward, making the entire process easy and enjoyable for both of us.

We drove the parking lot for 10 minutes. We saw three sales people talking inside the showroom. They never came out to greet us or offer assistance. Car sales must be good. We left and went to Bert Ogden.

I had an absolutely exceptional experience at this dealership! From start to finish, the team made everything smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable. Alex, Robert, and Arnold went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. They were professional, patient, and genuinely cared about helping us find the right vehicle without any pressure.

We were visiting from Minnesota when our oil light came on. (Mind you we had an oil change the day before we left Minnesota.) We contacted Cardenas Mazda and Manny in the service department took great care of us and got us on our way so we could enjoy our vacation. Highly recommend Manny and Cardenas Mazda!

Car shopping can be a nightmare. Pushy salespeople, hidden fees, and that constant feeling of being pressured. But for once, this wasn't the case at Cardenas Mazda.
The staff were friendly, professional, but not overbearing. They listened patiently to what I was looking for in a car and showed me several options that fit my needs and budget. No hard selling, just genuine conversation.
Multiple things impressed me, one being their transparency. They explained the pricing clearly, with no hidden fees or surprises. They were also upfront about any limitations on certain models or features.
As I was looking at colors, I saw a color I fell in love with, but they only had it in a model I was not interested in. Cardenas Mazda does trades with other dealerships, so they were able to trade in a car so that I could receive the model I wanted in that desired color. Here I was thinking I was going to be forced to get the model in a lame color that everyone else has, but they didn't let that happen!
In the end, I found the perfect car for me, a 2024 Mazda CX-50 in an AMAZING zircon sand color I never thought could be mine. The type of car you see out on the roads and think wow that is a beautiful one of a kind car. The buying process was also super smooth and efficient!
I didn't know dealerships like this even existed, I recommend it to no end. Great experience all around.

I just recently bought my new car here at this dealership. It is the new 2024 CX-5 Carbon Turbo Edition in Zircon Sand colorway. Let the photo speak for itself of how good it looks. For the Cardenas Mazda folks (Robert and Derick), what can I say, they are absolutely the best! As everyone might have experienced, looking / buying a car is stressful at times. But not here. You will never feel that pressure from them. Robert and Derick have been very accommodating and always made me feel comfortable the entire time I was there. They were very responsive to all my queries, and both are very professional. What is great about them is they know how to listen to the customer. They are honest, transparent, and will explain everything in detail to you. Overall, I am incredibly happy with my car purchase here. Oh, did I mention the great deal they gave me? And the pasta! :D
