Probably the worst dealership I have ever been to, I don't know how they stay in business. The service advisors are about as smart as a bump on a log and the new car sales area is like walking into a funeral home.

Their service team is great. The fifth star though, went to Charlie Clark. I had just come back from my daughter's oil change there and they blew me away with the complimentary breakfast and coffee. Seriously though, your service team keeps you 4 stars high. Visit Charlie for pointers to pick up that 5th star ⭐.

Could I rate an auto dealer any worse? I don't think so. Their service department is the absolutely worse we have EVER been to. TWICE now we have taken it in for one thing, didn't get that one thing fixed, but something else broke and had to be fixed while there. But it gets worse! That one thing, (that they could not identify for some reason) still had to be taken somewhere else and have that fixed. So the last two times now (will never again), we have taken in our truck to be fixed, had something else break, and STILL had to take it somewhere else to be fixed for the original issue! This last time, a break line broke as they were going to flush the breaks. The breaks were fine! No issues!! ONLY because the sale person recommended that we have them flushed and serviced did we agree. Then what do you know, break line is bad, supposedly had been leaking etc. Except, we park the truck on the driveway, there has NEVER been a leak, not even one drop.100% bait and switch, a total scam, have never felt so ripped off. We ONLY come here because it's close and convenient, that just won't happen anymore. And yes, we even delt with the service manager, and he actually started getting "shi**Y" with me, accusing me of accusing them, even though I was just trying to make the story make sense, which it didn't. Nothing made sense.I can not possibly convey how much I feel like these guys are dishonest and rip off their customers.Services: General repairs & maintenance

I was just there this morning not more than 45 minutes ago to set up an appointment for my wife's truck. A young man directed me to the service department to a rude lady there who was wearing a purple shirt, short hair with glasses and blue jeans. She was on her phone I'm guessing social media because she sure didn't even acknowledge me there. A technician walked in and told her that I needed assistance with setting up an appointment. She felt she needed to get back to work filling out a service order which didn't take her long to finish because she was more than sure done with but I guess being on her phone was more important. She asked me if needed anything, and I simply replied that I needed to schedule an appointment for service. She then pointed to another area in the service department and rudely told me to talk to the clerk there. I guess the lady sitting behind the front desk was the one she was referring me to. Which was the same lady that didn't even acknowledge me when I walked in the door because she was busy I'm thinking. I guess one there is busy when they're on their phones or just sitting pretty behind a computer desk not doing anything. I guess work ethic's is not a priority there or morals. I definitely do not recommend this place of business to anyone looking for service on their vehicles because apparently work ethic's is not a priority there. The same place is with the one in San Benito as well. My wife was judged by her appearance when she walked in to try and get an appointment set with them. Both secretaries there judged her by her appearance. It was her day off and just to let you know we both retired at an early age because of excellent work ethic's and morals. We started new careers and have progressively advanced in our new careers because of our work ethic's and morals. If you don't like your job maybe you should have tried harder in school rather than taking the easy way out, because apparently it got you nowhere. I had to give this place a one star because in order to post, but it sure doesn't deserve it. Waste of my time going there!!!

*****STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP****Gillman Chevrolet Harlingen scammed my elderly parents out of a 2019 Chevy Equinox that they recently purchased. The car was only driven 400 miles when it began to misfire, so they brought the car back to the dealership. That was 3 weeks ago and the dealership has no ETA on when the car will be fixed. My parents do not have transportation to get to and from their doctor's appointments. Fortunately, their friends from church have been helping them out. What kind of people take advantage of senior citizens? The dealers at Gillman Chevrolet Harlingen. They don't even have the decency to provide a loaner car.

I wish I'd looked at Yelp rating first. Seems everyone in Harlingen knows how lousy this place is. Took my Escalade in for brakes. Told me they had to order the pads and needed a deposit.? Strange, but with COVID I'm willing to be flexible. Said part would be here on Tuesday. I waited until Wednesday to call on status. I made 7 phone calls leaving several messages. No one helped me and no one returned my call. I gave them Thursday until end of day and still no call. I actually had to drive there to get their attention. Was not interested in an explanation as that opportunity had now passed. Demanded and received refund of my deposit. What a worthless place of business.

I brought my vehicle in for an appraisal; during the test drive, the dealer employee destroyed the transmission (given the age of the vehicle, I would expect this totals the vehicle.) When I asked if I could talk to the driver who test-drove my car, I was told they didn't even know who it was. They deflected blame, telling me that it was an old car, and sometimes they just break like that (I had brought the car to another dealer this morning, and their test drive showed absolutely no drivetrain issues at all.) And besides, how could I have driven here in a car that won't even shift into first gear?In the end, they finally offered to buy the car for a price well below the KBB Instant Cash Offer, and since the car was broken down in their parking lot, there wasn't much else I could do. (After they called a rideshare to get me home since my vehicle was undriveable, they even deducted the cost of that from their offer.)I would not recommend doing any business with a company that breaks customer vehicles, then refuses to accept responsibility for their actions.
