Took a 2012 Silverado in for a rear main seal leak. I was recommended by Juan to also replace the pan gasket from engine. Both were done in about 4 hours, which was less than expected. Now 2 months later still 0 Leaks no issues. Job well done, I will continue using this shop for any repairs or recommended to others.

I’m extremely disappointed with the service we received from this transmission shop, and I want to warn others to be very careful before trusting them with your vehicle.
We brought in our 2020 Ford F150 for a simple transmission fluid and filter change, and we even provided all the parts. The service was done on a Thursday, and the very next day while out of town we were stranded with our two small children because transmission fluid was leaking everywhere. It was a terrible situation, stuck in the middle of nowhere waiting for a tow truck and family to come help us.
When Monday came, we called Juan and explained what happened. We brought the truck back twice, and both times he claimed he dropped the pan, cleaned everything, and replaced the filter. He even admitted they accidentally overfilled the transmission, which is what started all the problems.
We trusted him because he was supposed to be the expert. But about two months later, the exact same leak happened again in the same spot. When we called Juan this time, he refused to take responsibility. Instead, he blamed our vehicle and tried to offer a “discount” for a full transmission replacement except his discount price was the same as what other shops charge.
At this point, we took our truck to another mechanic for a second opinion. They told us the transmission filter looked very old, like it had never been changed at all, despite Juan repeatedly telling us he had replaced it. Our truck had zero transmission issues before taking it here for what should have been routine maintenance. Now we’ve spent a lot of money on towing, and we’re having to replace the entire transmission.
Overall, this shop cost us time, money, and safety. I would highly recommend being cautious, getting a second opinion, and thoroughly inspecting any work done if you choose to go here. We will not be returning.

They did an amazing job on my truck’s transmission. They rebuilt it fast and for a good price. The truck runs better than when I bought it.

Was recommended to go ti Juan’s transmission for some repairs to my truck. Needless to say he diagnosed the issue and let me know what it was. He was able to repair my truck in the same day. Just about a little over an hour. He’s very reasonable when it comes to pricing. I have gone back for a transmission oil change. I highly recommend for the speed of service, years of knowledge, customer service and reasonable pricing. Thanks Juan!

THE BEST/EL MEJOR DEL RGV . I have gone to Juan’s transmissions for a few fixes I needed on a bad used car. He is the best, him and his team have been reliable for everything I have needed to get done. Juan and everyone in the building have expertise and are professionals. Prices are fair as well. I have gotten scammed at other places even Brownsville before I came to Juan’s transmission. I have bought new parts and Juan has helped me put them on with no hesitation. (as long as you have the correct parts) THE BEST AND WILL ALWAYS BE MY GOTO

Highly recommended! They dropped the transmission and replaced a clutch in less time and for a better price than another mechanic recently charged for minor jobs. These guys are good and fast and do it right and charge fair.

Called Juan’s because other transmission places couldn’t schedule me in for several weeks. Juan said send it over! I had it towed there and trusted he would look at it and determine a plan of action. He called me a couple days later with the prognosis and plan. Three days later it was done. He rebuilt the trans and replaced lines. It wasn’t cheap but transmission work is not easy and it’s a very specialized service. So far, so good! My vehicle is running fine. Thank you Juan!

Transmission was going out on my 2014 Nissan Sentra. I was given two options and two different quotes, depending on what I wanted. I was informed of the amount of time it would take. There was a small delay, but the work was excellent. I compared prices with two other well rated Transmission shops. All were very competitive. Juan's had the faster return time. Very happy with work on my Transmission.
