I have lived in different states with about a handful of different apartments.
I can say with the strongest conviction that these apartments have been the absolute worst for numerous reasons.
1) in my almost 2 years of living here there has been about 3-4 complete changes in staff. I feel like every 3-5 months there are completely new people working the front.
2) every time I talk to a staff member they are lackadaisical in their demeanor and they way they answer my questions.
3) they have numerous add ons to your monthly rent so I ended up paying over $1,300 a month for a two bedroom. Which is what you expect for an apartment in Austin or San Antonio... but not Harlingen. It would have been reasonable if that price also came with nice interiors... but out of all the apartments I have lived in, valor has been the absolute worst.
There are numerous NEW apartments and townhomes being built in Harlingen. Valor should be your absolute LAST CHOICE.

The Valor is completely unorganized! They have new staff constantly and they never get back to you on time when you report anything! MOLD was found in multiple buildings and in the ventilation system. Reported it twice and they did NOTHING. When I spoked to other tenants in the building that had the same MOLD problem, the tenants informed me that the Valor community department just painted over the mold and gave air purifiers to “solve” the problem. Shoes and clothes were RUINED. Moved out due to the issue and all they told us was it was our fault somehow! Valor community director did nothing to solve the problem! Blamed us for MOLD issue in apartment!

Like other people have mentioned, yes maintenance people are great but about every 3-4 months the underground water pipes burst leaving massive amounts of water floods and we are low on water/decommissioned for a couple days at a time. It was always a constant hassle not having any water throughout the day due to this issue. Their office staff is very unprofessional. They always have new staff so I can only imagine why employees don’t last. Rent is incredibly expensive for the area it’s ridiculous. I lasted two years here and just had to move out.

I lived here for 1 year, never missed a payment and did everything possible to be a good tenant. Unfortunately the office management is horrific. We decided not to renew our lease and gave the property the proper 60 day notice to avoid any fees, but guess what they "didn't" receive it. Even though my wife and I have screenshots of the correct email they asked us to send the notice with time stamps of said notice. Being wrongfully charged caused unnecessary stress. Being threatened to collections even though we did what we were asked and sent the proper notice with ample time to avoid fees.Somehow it's our fault that their system wasn't working. It's sad that organizations like this exist to only take advantage and not willing to come to an understanding.Fix your system Valor. Amanda and Stephanie y'all should be ashamed of the "service" you give. Alex thank you for being the only one that even cares. Hopefully you are still there. Thank you for trying. Wish I could put NO stars

This Is the first review I’ve ever done ever so it says. Stay away from these apartments. They will charge you a ridiculous amount of money and claim it was cleaning fees. As soon as your lease is done, your account is sent to a collections agency without notification. While living at the apartment we submitted a work order to change blinds in living room. We were charged almost $40 for some cheap plastic blinds that broke in 2 days. When we left we got charged for the same blinds which we had already paid. I submitted a claim with the better business bureau. Will definitely not recommend.

Maintenance people are great, parking is impossible, front desk can be okay, but horribly/poorly handled property. Every 3-4 months the underground water pipes burst, massive amounts of water floods the area and we are low on water/decommissioned for a couple days at a time. Management is well aware of this persistent and never ending issue. They hide behind corporate and blame corporate as to why they can’t invest on installing new water pipes. Mind you, the ones that are currently in place are about 8 years old, they are meant to last you about 30 years….. Even more of a reason to invest and fix the issue, and not just put a band aid on it. Do better!
