It really isn't a Christian based camp by any stretch of the imagination. The owner pretends to be a pastor but he is really a used car salesman. Literally. To try and pay the bills at the camp he sells used cars that are at least 15 or 20 years old and in need of a lot of repair. The facility is in complete disrepair and his filthy. Especially the kitchen. It is outdated, not up to health code, and a filthy mess. The worst part is that the owner hides behind a not for profit status. He pays his employees minimum wage, if he pays them at all, and has a lot of work done off the books or batters with people.Under underage children working for him illegally.

Unfortunately this "Christian" retreat/camp falls short in every way. It is basically a used car lot and quasi pizza delivery restaurant that occasionally hosts kids groups and some adult groups for church getaways. From my experience, it is "Christian" in name only and uses that label to rope in customers and employees.

Horrible experience purchasing car there to help them raise money. Lied to, and cost me thousands of dollars

Took my youth group here for a retreat! We all LOVED it! Great staff, great outdoor area, and just an overall phenomenal experience at Brookhaven. :)
