Brookshire Brothers in Hearne, Texas is the best. I eat from the deli almost daily. The food is fresh, hot and tasty. My favorite is the chicken tenders, greens, or JR’s tomato gumbo, cornbread and sweet tea. Keep up the outstanding cooking!

Awesome little convenient grocery store in Hearne. I love the little deli area, you can get a whole meal for less than $10 and its always yummy and fresh. Theres seating as well to eat at. By the entrance/exit theres a free little library which I think is really nice for the kids considering Hearne is an underserved community. All the staff here I talked to were very helpful and friendly.

Expensive but worth it if you don't want to drive to Bryan. Watch the expiration dates on foods you buy there. Sometimes you will find the food is past its use by date.

We were greeted by a really friendly lady when we went to the Deli to buy food. The lady who fixed our food was friendly as well. And we got good food and the price was great!!

They have everything I wanted my concern is the prices I paid $9+ for folgers 12 pack kureig pay that much at WM for 24 pack or a few $$ more, but I can't drive to WM every time I need groceries Total was $79,I know it would have been $20/25 cheaper at WM

Always clean, always stocked as much as possible, never really a long wait to check out. Pharmacy was an issue for me for a while but it has new staff and they handled a situation immediately for me today and I was all squared away!

It's a Small Town grocery store. They don't have everything that the Big Town has, but they have 99% of what you need and it ain't 30 minutes away

I eat at the deli here at least 3-4 times a week. The food is delicious! It is seasoned to perfection, everything from regular fried chicken, spicy fried chicken, baked chicken, bbq chicken, meat loaf, fried fish, beef tips and rice, yams, Mac and cheese, corn, okra and tomatoes, greens, black eyed peas, Lima beans, green beans, mashed potatoes brown or cream gravy, roll or cornbread…and yes I have had every item named above.
I have never had a bad meal here.
A plate is a serving of meat and two sides and a cornbread muffin or a roll, and a drink all for an amazing price of $9.19 out the door. The veggies change daily so check the menu before you go. Oh and did I mention cobblers, peach cobbler, apple cobbler, blackberry cobbler. Umm umm umm…The breakfast is good too! Sausage biscuit and gravy…good stuff. Love the deli staff, we wave at each other when they see me coming.?

We were driving through Hearne and remembered the simple lunch we had in Brookshire Bros. deli once.
The sweet, cheerful young lady in the deli was welcoming and efficient. There were two fish filets, two sides, a soft roll and a drink with the platter. The fish was slightly dry from the steam table, but the lunch was a quick way to eat a balanced meal and go.
As we left, a friendly woman thanked us for stopping in. Yes, we'll be back!
