I deleted a star because I found a defect with the car that will have to be repaired by a dealership that should have been detected. The rear hatch release button assembly was loose and ended up falling out of the hatch assembly. Nuisance”

“In response to Laurie Rector McCowan.I’m the person who Mr. Palmer sold the truck to “out from under her”. So here is the accurate account of what transpired. I called on this truck over a week ago; possibly 10 days ago. He said he had a woman from out of town interested in it and he wanted to give her the opportunity to get it. I gave it a week and saw it was still in his lot. I showed up with certified funds IN HAND for the FULL ASKING PRICE. I did not attempt to cut him on the price of this truck. In the current economic climate I’m fully aware what trucks like this are worth. And it was absolutely worth what he had it listed for. He could’ve asked more. And I would’ve paid it. You are upset because you offered him less and I offered what he was asking. And I showed up when I said I would. I wouldn’t expect someone to hold something for me. Especially without a deposit.I went to Mr Palmers FB page to give him a good review and see what else he had listed. I saw that you, Ms McGowan, had commented something to the effect that a vehicle he had posted was “a piece of s***** You had commented ugly things on everything I saw. Here is where the irony hits… I purchased the vehicle you were commenting on for my son several weeks ago. Therefore it was absolutely impossible for you, Ms McGowan, to have even seen this truck. And that truck has hauled my son to college and back and God only knows where else with ZERO issues. It’s actually a pretty impressive little diesel Colorado. Again, I also paid (close to) full asking price for this little gem. So like Paul Harvey says…now you know the rest of the story.I guarantee if you had show up a few days sooner he would’ve sold you that truck? I’m glad you didn’t show up because now I have another great truck in my driveway. I had my eye on it and he was actually MORE than courteous to you. What you failed to mention is you strung him along while he had customers in line (me) to buy that truck.What you stated above is completely false. I know what happened. I was there.I will continue to buy trucks from Mr Palmer and I will recommend him to anyone who wants a solid truck. He sells at a fair price and is willing to negotiate. I have bought numerous company vehicles from Select Trucks. I’ve bought trucks for my son and myself to drive. When the time comes I will have him look for a safe and reliable truck for my daughter.Ms McCowan, I hope you find what you are looking for and God help the person who has to sell it to you.”
