My oldest has learned SO much with Ms. Rose as her teacher as well as my son who has been with Ms. Faith and Ms. Angie. It's conveniently located, they do their best to keep the facilities clean, and I've loved their approach to discipline and teaching my kids. Can't recommend enough!”

“I enrolled my child at Children's Lighthouse about a month ago and have been so pleasantly surprised by the care and patience they have for him. The classroom teachers (Ms Mariah and Ms Bri) are responsive and kind. There are very regularly daily updates on the app and significant diversity in daily activities for the children. There's even a splash pad on premises! The administration, especially Heather who gave us our initial tour, is friendly, professional and confidence-inspiring which I cherish because it comes across as so respectful of our family and our time. It's been a blessing so far to have our child here.

“When we relocated to the area it was hard to find a preschool setting that fit our daughters needs . When I called and spoke to Melissa from my first interaction I was met with the utmost kindness. Melissa explained the program in the classroom and all that the center offered. Suzy the director was phenomenal in her tenure. Brenda the Executive Director is top notch she is kind and empathetic. The communication is fantastic and anytime something needs to be communicated it is done timely and with professionalism.
I had a situation that needed attention and everyone was professional and managed the situation with grace. I was upset in the moment and Melissa and Suzy worked with me and handled the situation with their expertise. I left after with knowing that if there was ever a incident it would be handled properly and with my daughters safety and wellbeing as their priority.
Miss Teressa the classroom teacher was warm and welcoming to my daughter helping her ease into the transition of moving to a new state and school.
Katrina has been an amazing her warmth and caring demeanor is just at a level I can not say enough about. Always a warm welcome when I walk in the building and gives me assurance my daughter is cared for at the highest level.
My daughter just adores Ms. Mirza and I see the level of care I have when I see her interacting with the kids.
The classroom setting is very organized and the curriculum taught has helped her grow and develop to prepare her for the upcoming transition to Kindergarten.
The school had a Pre-K graduation that was so special. They put together such a special and personalized program providing the kids with a wonderful send off into their education.

“I have been taking my son to Primrose of West Carrollton since he was about 2 years old. He is 6 now and goes for after school care.
I have never had one bad incident ever. Not one bad phone call. Not one bad feeling ever. I actually never have to worry or overthink about anything. The people that work here are honestly amazing and I feel like they are a blessing. I’ve worked in schools before and I’ve put my son in schools before this one and still nothing has ever felt as safe as this school. They treat my son so well, and are so nice to him. “From the moment I walked into Sunshine House Little Elm, I knew it was the right place for my daughter. The bright colors, rainbows, live plants and cozy schoolhouse cottage feel stood in such stark contrast to the rigid, dull daycare I had visited earlier that day.

When I was on the hunt for daycare and trying to figure out Pre-K with Little Elm ISD, which we didn’t qualify for, a woman helping me there recommended Sunshine House Little Elm. She told me her own daughter had attended and that they had the best experience. After our time here, I can see exactly why this school is so highly recommended in the community.

As a COVID baby with no prior formal daycare experience, my 5 year old daughter needed a place where she could feel safe, supported, and inspired, and Sunshine House Little Elm became that place. I specifically chose this school for its curriculum that values creative and critical thinking over the rigid, drill-and-memorize approach that leaves little room for creativity. Here, children aren’t just taught to “stay inside the lines,” but to create their own. The focus on emotional intelligence and community values has been just as important as the academic preparation. Since starting in January 2025, my daughter has gained all the skills she needs to enter kindergarten with confidence.

The teachers and staff here are truly exceptional. Ms. Faren, the director, is a model of professionalism and leadership. She has a deep passion for early childhood development and an unwavering commitment to education that shows in everything she does. Under her guidance, the team at Sunshine House Little Elm shines.

Ms. MJ, my daughter’s very first teacher, welcomed her so warmly and was endlessly patient as my daughter adjusted to a new routine. My daughter has learned so much from her academically, she has built a strong foundation in early literacy, math, and problem-solving while also growing socially and emotionally. Ms. May shared an extraordinary bond with her and brought so much joy to her days. Ms. Laura’s kindness and sweetness never went unnoticed, and Deshawn has an incredible gift for connecting with children, especially the older kids, bringing out the best in each of them with patience, humor, and genuine care. and Ms. Kaylee made the evenings before pick-up feel extra special, giving my daughter one-on-one attention that meant so much to her.

I felt complete trust in the staff every day, knowing my daughter was in an environment that balanced learning, creativity, and emotional growth. Sunshine House Little Elm wasn’t just a daycare, it was a community that helped shape my daughter’s early years in the best way possible.

“My son has been at Castle Montessori in Flower Mound since he was 10 weeks old, we just had our last day at 16 months old (we’re moving 3 hours away). They have helped develop him in so many ways. He’s a better listener, learner, and all around toddler because of his time at this school. He’s learned so much from them, been cared for and loved more than a mother could ask. The confidence I felt in the care my son was receiving was never lacking with them.
His time in his infant & older infant classrooms has been fantastic.

“I spent a year and half researching and visiting schools from Flower Mound to Dallas to find the best preschool for our son to attend.

Without question DKH was the best school. That’s saying a lot as there are many excellent schools in our area.

What stood out the most to us:

1. The class sizes- smaller than other schools. There are a maximum of 12 kids (although we only had 10-11) and 2 teachers. We had our main teacher Mrs. Howell as well as the Spanish Immersion teacher Mrs. Trudeau assisting bringing the ratio down to 6:1.

2. The leadership- this is a female owned and led school. The level of organization and care they put into the curriculum, safety and social development of the kids is unparalleled. Nancy, Becky and Mrs. Howell are unwavering in their dedication towards doing what’s best for the kids. DKH has been around since 1979- 45 years of serving this community has given them an edge in understanding our community and the greater school district to which most of our kids will be entering.

3. Play based learning- Our priority was to expose our son to building a foundation for a love of learning and relationships with others. The play-based learning is inclusive, transcending language and other barriers that might affect learning outcomes making DKH an ideal place for all children.

I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience with DKH. Every time I walk through the doors I feel so thankful that we found this amazing school and that this where our son gets to begin his learning journey.

There is a Spanish program, an early reading program and extended day program. I’m particularly excited that my 4 year old will be in the reading program next year.

The community we’ve built at DKH extends beyond the classroom. We have regular play dates and get togethers with the families we’ve made friends with. They say it takes a village and we’re so proud this is ours.”
