“My cat has been going here for a couple years after they were able to get her in due to an emergency. Recently, Milo (my cat) has been seen by Dr. Herrod who has been amazing in figuring things out for her. She was able to see Milo prior to a procedure to rule out an infection and has given many recommendations to help her. I am really grateful for this as my cat is my little baby and having someone care for her and not make it seem like it's about a cash-grab is relieving.”
“Both Jack and Billie despise people outside of family. For some reason they tolerate everyone here (emphasis on tolerate). As antisocial as these two cats are, that says something to me about the place. Apparently, they see the same kindness and devotion there that I do. Couldn’t imagine going anywhere else.”

“The hardest part of owning an animal is having to play God and make the decision to give them a first class ticket to heaven. Yesterday, I had to do that for my 18 year old 12 pound Welch Corgi Toy Aussie mix, Milli. My experience at Hooves and Paws was absolutely incredible. Even though Milli’s primary vet, Dr. Lensey Watson, is out on maternity leave, she was there for my daughter and me via text from the time of Milli’s diagnosis at noon to them allowing me to take Milli to McDonalds for her favorite last meal which was a double cheeseburger, a McChicken sandwich, some french fries and a few bites of vanilla ice cream, and finally to me carrying her while my 9 year old daughter and I took all three of our dogs on their last walk together before driving back to the clinic. Dr. Wuensche, the vet techs, and the front desk staff were so patient, kind, compassionate, supportive and understanding. Dr. Wuensche took his time and explained to my 9 year old daughter what each step was and how it would effect Milli, and he expressed to her that he wished he could fix her but that this was the right decision and the right time. Dr. Wuensche asked if my daughter was okay throughout the entire process and gave her a hug once Milli crossed over the rainbow. It’s never easy. It’s hard and it sucks, but it was the most amazing experience for my daughter and me. I wouldn’t trust any other vet clinic other than Hooves and Paws pet hospital to help a family or animal through this difficult time. 10/10 highly recommended.”

“Calamity and Weston just had their annual check-ups, and once again Dr. Eubank and the whole team were absolutely wonderful. They treat my kitties with so much patience, kindness, and genuine care—you can tell they truly love what they do.
Calamity felt like the princess she believes she is, and Weston (my little food-motivated shadow) was completely at ease. Everything was explained clearly, the visit was thorough, and I left feeling confident my babies are in the best hands.
I recommend this clinic 10 out of 10 and am so grateful for the amazing care they provide. ?❤️”

We moved to Denton two years ago and still make the drive to HV because of the outstanding care and love they provide. Everyone there is outstanding, from doctors, to technicians to front desk. And Dr. Lorien Schoelkopf is so very gentle with our 14 year old Schnauzer/Poodle and our 7 year old Australian Cattle dog/American Staffordshire. Love these folks!! Always thankful for their outstanding care.”

“My 23 year old cat came down blind suddenly, they were very caring, helpful, and worked around his extreme dislike of all things medical to find the cause of his issue and get a treatment plan that is working very well without stressing him out too badly. A couple of weeks later he had to go to an emergency vet for a separate issue, and Cross Timbers are working hand in hand with that vet to transfer his treatment over and get him the help and care that he needs. Fantastic experience with them, I highly recommend their services.”

“We have been going to Lakeshore animal clinic for years. Dr. Parker is more than a veterinarian but a friend that engages in showing an interest in you and your furry family member (baby).
She was with us when we rescued Annie our lab all the way to her life end—-this was a very very difficult time and she stayed in touch throughout. We were just there today (Jan 20) and she spends time sharing life experiences—has built such a bond with our other dog Peaches—she is compassionate—and wants the best—even when it’s hard to hear a diagnosis—there are options and a clear moment to advise and help understand.
The staff has always been friendly and accommodating—I want to thank Dr. Parker for all she has done for us—all that she has been— thank you for all you do! Lisa Cave and Peaches and those before her!!!”

“Ive been going to Dr Mark Moynaugh since 1998 when he sat at night with my Akita,Mishu, that had been hit by a car. The car drove away but the pick up that was behind pick her up and saw Westgate Vet on her tag and Dr Moynaugh sat with her until I returned from a football game and got the message of the accident. He had my heart right then. He has seen me through 6 more dogs ( 3 currently) and I couldn’t have picked a more knowledgable caring Vet than Dr Mark Moynaugh.”
“I came as a walk in for puppy vaccinations. The waiting room is as clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. A wellness check was included for free and my puppy was weighed and looked at before the vaccinations. The service was quick and took about 15 minutes. She got her ten week shots and then the vet tech came out to tell me where she got the shots and that she could be sore. She was also checked for parasites at the visit. The timeframe for puppy vaccinations was explained during check out and I left with a follow up appointment. We also were given her first flea and tick medication for me to administer at home. Very informative visit and very affordable.”

Doctor was so informative and attentive to any questions I had and understood my request to take him to a different room to administer his shots so I did not cry. The fact I received a call the next morning to check on him was a bonus and sealed my decision on using them as our new vet.”

I was here 7+ years ago when my dog got injured and the doctor back then got my dog back on her feet in several hours. I then came back very recently to put my dog to sleep. When it was time to say goodbye to my old dog and everyone was so kind when I became overwhelmed. Thank you so much to staff here for helping my family on multiple occasions.”

Dr. B is incredibly knowledgeable, gentle, and patient — you can tell he genuinely cares about every animal he treats. Alice is always so kind and reassuring, and she goes above and beyond to make sure my pups feel safe and comfortable.
The reception desk team is wonderful too. They’re friendly, organized, and always willing to help, even when I’ve had to bring my dogs in multiple times for various issues. No matter the reason for the visit, everyone here treats us with so much compassion and professionalism.

“We found this clinic a few years ago and it’s our go to clinic for all of our pets. They are so caring, friendly and reasonably priced. Our little rescue dog recently had 27 teeth removed. She has not shown any signs of distress or discomfort. They gave us plenty of instruction and an action plan if it came to that. Highly recommend”
