This used to be a well run store but no longer. The store floors are dirty, the carts are dirty and rusty. Even the checkout stations are filthy. Its all self checkout and they have closed off all the large self checkout stations forcing everyone through the small cluster of checkout stations. The long line was very frustrating. It feels like Walmart hates their customers. I dont understand why Walmart has nice, clean well run stores in Flower Mound, Little Elm and Frisco but the store and the service in Hickory Creek is beyond terrible. Maybe they really do hate their customers in Hickory Creek.

This is a pretty good store. The staff always friendly. One recommendation, during the fall and winter months, shop early. They do not always have the lights on in the parking lot. I have had to use a flashlight to find my car.

Rodney was my cashier on Sunday. He was kind, patient, helpful and had such a great demeanor. I had all my kids and they were going crazy and crying so I was stressed. He was caring and put the watermelon in a bag for me so it's easier to carry and even put it in the cart for me. He didn't make me feel bad or rushed when one of my kids took the sticker off the chicken. People started lining up behind me and he still tried his best to resolve it.

I've not had many issues with this Walmart but this last order I did for pick up was not great. This is the second time (at a second location) that this has happened to me, so I'm thinking I probably should start shopping elsewhere. I placed a pick up order on 4/12/23 and picked it up the morning of 4/13/23. In my order was two gallons of whole milk. One of those gallons expired 4/11/23 (two days before I picked it up) and the second gallon expired 4/16/23. We went through half the 4/11/23 expiration day gallon before realizing it was expired! Do better, Walmart.

Where should I start.. ? How about Nobody "EVER" picks up the phone at this store. Had a delivery order submitted at 1:50 pm yesterday, and the order was set to be delivered from 6-7pm Thursday evening and now its 1:32 pm Friday afternoon and I have yet to receive/obtain any update on my order. I even called the Walmart customer service number/hotline and even they couldn't get a hold of anyone at this Hickory Creek Location. This is has been an Extremely poor experience, I was at one point considering that yearly express delivery plan for my orders, but this experience just shows me its a waste of money. You know why this happens, lack of accountability within the stores and company's leadership team. Going forward I'll stick with Instacart, and resume my BAN of shopping at Walmart. This lack of customer "First" service approach is why Walmart continues to increase it's unsatisfactory brand name amongst consumers. It's a shame because this location, is clean and even located in one of nicest areas. One thing doesn't change though, the crappy uncommunicative folks working there at WALMART!

This is a personal review. To the guy that worked on 2/25/2022 standing by the self check out at approximately 2:20 when I did the self check out and refused to let me purchase the drink. Suck a big D. He told me I couldn't buy the drink because I was with an adult with no i.d that's fine. Then this incompetent human being decided to tell me I couldn't purchase the alcoholic beverage for 24 hour after being denied. Guess what ? I went straight down to chevron to get my fix right after that without a problem. So the story goes to show how this little rat power tripping. You know the laws right? I'm drinking a fourty writing this review as we speak ans i might come back after ur shift is over and get another one. I was gonna come back and confronted that little rat face, but i couldn't get to there from chevron. Lucky you! Ur life suck and you gonna work till the day you go to heaven. Or he'll. Enjoy

A great place to run around as a kid. Great place to push grocery carts in the parking lot as a teenager. Solid place to change a tire in college. Also a easy place to go for all tackle for fishing when you don't want to pay full price. This Walmart is the bomb, and idc who says otherwise.

Wal mart delivery has ruined it for me! I haven't shopped here in a long time and thought I'd try it again. Created online order for delivery between 6-7 and nothing came, no call from store, no email. Nothing!! I contacted online rep and was told they can't see anything so I have to call back in morning. Called local store - the entire pick up Dept went home at 8pm. But I was told I can come to the store (inside) and get my order. Which I'm being charged for delivery tip of $15! Really?!? This is the best Wal mart can do? I'll never use this service again and honestly I'm done with this Wal mart!

Several staff members wear their masks below their noses or even below their chins at this location. It's a reoccurring problem at this location. This store is not safe to shop at during the Covid pandemic.

I am a delivery driver and every time I get a grocery pick up order from here I DREAD IT. I wait at LEAST 1 hour or more for a pick up order that was said to be placed 2 hours ago. Time is money for me !! Delivery is based on time and I should not expect to wait an HOUR for grocery pick up. I would repeatedly call the number listed but no one would pick up and the mailbox to leave messages is always full. I really do try to give people the benefit of the doubt but the workers here are rude and there is 0 communication or help guided, you will have to jump through hoops to get an answer you're looking for. Definitely will never accept any of these going forward.

Grocery pick up it terrible. Waited over an hour. Did not answer the phone. Had to call store manager. We were doing home delivery but most the time we did not get our full order we paid for.

Updated stars, but left the details. Thanks to store manager Jared for handling properly! ........Yelp unfortunately will not allow you to leave zero stars, but that is exactly what this place deserves. This is not about how the shelves are always empty, and I am talking well before the coronavirus pandemic, but about the sheer lack of common sense and customer service. We went in last week to buy a computer and was told it was out of stock. We get it, a lot of stuff is out of stock now, but that is not the issue. We went to order it online and the item was marked "clearance". The website refers back to the store for availability, so we went back to buy the display model. Please keep in mind, this is a clearance item. Spoke with the manager in electronics and she said "we cannot sell the display". I advised her that the item is clearance, so no more is going to be ordered, so what is the logic behind keeping it on display. She advise "corporate advised us we cannot sell display models". I asked her "if you were not getting anymore in, what do you plan to do with the floor model"?. Her reply, was simply amazing" we plan to sell it". I stated that is exactly why I'm here to buy this computer and she said "corporate policy says we cannot sell the display". You literally cannot make this stuff up!

Just to be clear, this is a bakery inside a regular Walmart. Google Maps, for me anyway, doesn't show the regular store on the map, just pins for the bakery and deli.

Grew up going to this Walmart, it's not as nice as it once was, but I suppose that is to be expected. It is currently better than the Lewisville Walmart on Main Street and the Loop 288 Walmart. This Walmart is typically well stocked, bathrooms are clean as they can be with the amount of people they have in and out per day, staff are friendly and helpful if needed. I really like that they have self checkout, as do most Walmart's now. Since I'm so used to the HV Walmart this one is arranged differently and I'm still getting used to it is my only negative, but that will change the more I go.
