“PROs: Very unique store! Many eclectic items to find. Christmas is around the corner. Plenty of metal and wood art. Retro items such as metal lunchboxes, 8Track Tapes, books, clothes, etc. The jewelry is locally made to support cancer patients :-)There is a beauty salon adjacent to the store.Parking is directly behind the store OR on the asphalt along the police station.CONs: Although it is understandably so the temporary hours are Friday & Saturday. “My daughter and I love this store. The organization of their items is wonderful and makes it so easy to find things. The way it’s decorated is amazing ? I ended up getting my daughter an oxblood Etienne Aigner leather blazer. It was less than $100 and was in pristine condition. It looked gorgeous on her. She was thrilled. Next time you’re in downtown Denton, go here for one of a kind items that are in excellent condition. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable.”

“There's a lot of cool & interesting items here. Plenty of parking & very accommodating sales staff. We went on a Sat afternoon & my wife & I found all sorts of cool items. I got a tiki candle, 2 ashtrays, Asian figurine, 2 display Asian trays & 1 book on The Sex Pistols. A nice afternoon of looking around & finding treasures The restroom is very clean & sanitary. Appropriate a good amount of time bc you'll need it. Real fun & enjoyable.”
“I love shopping here and I've had a great experience selling items as well. I think I've figured out better the specific name brands they like. For people like me who need to downsize their clothing selections or just have a closet full of good clothing items that they just don't wear, this is a good option to have. I'm extremely bad about returning things I've ordered or bought so store like this are great for people like me. Very friendly staff. Always nice and courteous

“I love this store! Today was my first time coming here (over Plato's Closet at my daughter's insistence) and I was selling items. The process is so easy, and quick! The employees were extremely nice and patient! I also LOVE the stuff they have for sale! And affordable prices too! I highly recommend Uptown Cheapskate!???”
“Always an easy process here to sell and buy, workers are friendly. Racks are a bit overstuffed but I understand the need to get as much merchandise on there as possible. Found some good items at good prices, and got a decent amount of my items sold.”
“Buyer Beware. I'll start with all the positives: very clean, well organized and many brand name items- some new with tags and very reasonable prices. Now the bad: They don't staff their fitting rooms for the entire time they're open. So you can't try things on, and that matters because there's a NO RETURNS policy. So you can't try it on and you can't return it. Additionally, most people working here aren't fluent in English, so getting assistance can be little difficult.”
