“JC Pennys at Victory Lakes is impressive. Its better stocked with everything than Baybrook. Ill definitely be returning. Also Sales staff was everywhere. They actually greeted me as i passed them by.”
“I always have a great experience shopping at this location. Good amount of inventory and good sales. Employees are very friendly and helpful. If I can't find a particular item in the store, then I place an order online and have it shipped to the store. I picked up my order on July 4th, and two employees made sure that I was able to get my large order to my car. Looking forward to my next shopping visit there.”

It’s got all we would need without having to run to Walmart or even order off of Amazon. It’s close to home and we know where everything is. It is stocked with great varieties of food and great employees. The prices as a member are tremendous as it helps us save so much each week. Favorite: the coupons they mail to you on the things you buy!”
“I just wanted to say Thank You to Dai Dai Johnson at the Family Dollar on 9th across from FoodAuroma. That Employee went above and beyond for me as a Family Dollar customer and I was so grateful that Dai Dai helped me load my cash app for my 14 year old son would be able to buy a game pass for Rainbow 6 siege at midnight with the new season. I pulled up at 959 and he didn't shut the door on me , that Wonderful Young man was very kind and patient with a last minute customer. Here in Texas City you really don't find employees that are so much about the customer but at That family dollar they know who to hire because I have never been so impressed with the Mannerisms of Dai Dai and the other young man that was closes the store on Monday 6/9/2025. “The staff here gets 5 stars but the storefront needs a good deep clean. The windows are full of stuff that has fallen behind the shelves and the concrete/sidewalk outside the doors has lots of trash and cigarette butts. It would definitely benefit from a power wash to remove all the gum and grime.”

“It's pretty much like every other Walmart. Pretty well-stocked, or you can order it. Clothing/tools/groceries/electronics/pets/sporting goods/health&beauty/pharmacy. Well-staffed. Good service at the pharmacy and at customer assistance. Tire/battery team - excellent! Good curbside pickup staffers - fast, friendly, and accurate - give them a tip whenever you can, they work hard and go the extra mile!”

“Did my weekly shopping at Walmart this time I went a little ways from my house, just because it's a Sam's next door and that was convenient for me. Found a few markdowns when I only needed dog food, drinks and snacks for the people. I found a good workbook for my nephew 1st grade for 2.00, and a pair of shorts for the newborn boy coming soon. Could pass it up. Also love to play dress up with the broke bestie. Didn't have to self check but cashier clearly didn't want to work today.”
“As I prepare to leave Galveston, for Htown (Baby Apple; please people) I 've become reacquainted with the commercial entities on the mainland. might I say that this Walmart has more of a selection of Wrangler, and Lee Jeans than the Galveston Walmart (bought five pair). The store is cleaner, less chaotic, and generally friendlier. Now, I understand that Galveston has to deal with the beach tourists that treat Galveston in general like a convenience store bathroom, so I'll give it a mulligan. But, I was impressed by the assortment of products and available number as opposed to Galveston's. Galveston could use one of those exclusively grocery Walmarts, but it isn't going to happen. Get another catastrophic hurricane (and its getting near time) and you'd be hard pressed for any corporations to come there, let alone a secondary store.”

“This location tends to have a more diverse variety. Im surprised sometimes at the items I find here that they have available. it is a lifesaver when i dont feel like traveling far to go to a larger store for something simple. no frills and straight to the point”
