Fantastic place! The relationship that Mr. Turner has developed with my grandson sharing his knowledge of history is priceless. We stop by his place every year on our annual trip to Hot Springs and it truly is one of the my grandson's favorite parts of our trips. Seven years of stopping by his place now.
Turner's Army Surplus in Hooks, Tx is a family owned and operated business founded in 1953 by George E. Turner. In 1961 George's son, Ronnie Turner, joined in with his dad and continued serving the area with Army and other military surplus items. After George passed in 1976, Ronnie Turner and his wife Doris took over the business and continued in it's original location until 1986 when they moved to it's present location in Hooks, Texas. In 2011 their daughter Kellie Turner Caskey became part of the family business and came to work with them, and the business continues to be operated by the Turner family to this day.
