Horseshoe Bay Resort is a beautiful, perfectly located destination for a weekend getaway or family trip. The grounds, pools, and rooms are generally described as immaculate, well-maintained, clean, comfortable, and spacious. Many guests found it a lovely place with lots of fun activities for both adults and kids, excellent walkability, and very good food and drink options at the on-site restaurants. Experiences with staff and service were mixed. Several reviews highlight excellent and kind customer service, with friendly, courteous employees who made guests feel very welcomed from check-in to check-out. The valet staff in particular received consistent praise. However, other guests reported encounters with unfriendly, rude, or frustrated employees, which made them feel like an inconvenience. Some minor issues were noted, including non-working plugs in rooms, a broken appliance in a market, and the putt-putt course being closed for private events without advance notice. Despite these drawbacks, many visitors highly recommend the resort and state they will definitely be revisiting in the future, considering it worth a visit for its amenities and setting.
Excellent accommodations and friendly staff. Golf at all three courses we played excellent despite our poor skill level. Golf pace was excellent during this period (Feb 16-19, 2026).
