Absolutely love coming for my silk press! I came last year for my first time for my daughter. I have had my hair in braids or some kind of protective style for about 4 years consistently. Prior to that it was a taper so I’ve never had my hair down long enough to see anything. Absolutely loved it!! This will definitely be my winter style

Karess is an amazing and exceptionally gifted Master Stylist. She keeps up-to-date with natural hair education to better collaborate with her clients for their benefit. As I was trying to describe how I wanted my hair cut & style, she patiently listened to me. After which, I felt relaxed and very comfortable in her chair. First time I trusted someone to color my hair and the results were 10 out of 10 the entire experience was well worth the visit. She was on time and delivered the exact style I desired. She is such a sweet and professional woman. She is my favorite stylist now, book your appointment don’t wait.!!!!

This is my first google review I have ever placed in my life, but my experience with Karess was so negative that I felt strongly compelled to leave a reviewI have never had my hair colored before , I took a picture to her to color, she said okay and began working on my hair . Unfortunately the color was not what I wanted . I felt the base was too dark and made me look washed out . I communicated that with her , and even though I was not 100% sold , I left hoping it would grow on me… well it didn’t .So I called her on the phone listed for her business but it said the voicemail was full so I reached out to her on Instagram .Initially she asked me to send the picture of what I wanted , which I did. I then sent another picture of what the color correction should look like . I change my mind and told her I wanted to go dark and just leave highlights on top . I honestly didn’t feel comfortable with her doing a correction as she has messed up the first color. I am a professional woman of color in a office type environment and I honestly did not want another fail.She responded okay to the new style I wanted , so I asked her do I make an appointment and…….. I never heard from her for the whole week . I called multiple times but could not leave a message , mailbox was full . karess never replied to my message on InstagramFast forward to today . I make contact with her . Told her what I wanted , she said since it was a new color she would have to charge me .. bear in mind I have paid almost $400 …$375 to be exact .That did not seat well with me and in a calm voice I told her that’s not right .. and we both started talking over each other , But let her tell it I was talking over her … tells me I should not have expected the same color because of my hair texture etc . Tells me my expectations was too high for her . This by far was the most surprising part of our interaction . If that was the case after showing you the picture , why did she proceed to color my hair if she could not meet expectations?? In any case SHE HANGS UP ON ME , she calls me back and tells me that I have only today to come to her shop and get it corrected or else she will not be offering any solutions . This is someone I have been trying to get in touch with all week but she feels entitled and expected me drop whatever I was doing … on a Saturday wow . Finally she sends me a text to schedule and appointment , 2 seconds later she sends me another text telling me she can no longer service me and I can go somewhere where else to get my color corrected that I was being disrespectful . She refunded me $100?I am not leaving this review to be spiteful but how is hanging up on a customer professional? How is not setting expectations professional ? Why will you tell me to drop whatever I am doing to come to your space without consideration for my time , when you did not deliver ? Lastly you think it is okay for someone to correct your mistake ?? This tells me you have no pride in your work .Thank you Karess for the partial refund of a whopping $100 but it does not make up for the blatant disrespect and unprofessionalism that you showed me today . You can’t treat people the way you did today . It is telling on your character or lack thereof. I am completely taken aback. Not everything or service will be perfect but what sets you apart from the rest is how you handle situations like this ….and sorry to say you failed woefully. Best of luck to you. Karess, the stylist, is very professional, has a great personality, and is about her business. The atmosphere is very relaxing. I love the way she cuts my hair. I have very short hair, and I drive 1 hour and 15 minutes for her to cut my hair. I have tried other stylists closer to my area, and I'm not pleased with my hair when I leave their shop. I feel really pretty every time I leave Karess shop

Where to begin………Karess has ALWAYS been a Godsend. She was able to fix the mistake of someone else and she didn’t make it an awkward experience but a welcoming one filled with love and genuine concern and honestly that’s hard to come by nowadays.
