I immediately felt at home when they're golden retriever put his paws on the counter to greet me and get some pets. I love that and they were very knowledgeable.

Very bad character of the owner, he treats with disdain. He was very rude and not very helpful, as I had to pick up the part myself from the supplier.

We were in need of a new dishwasher. In and out of the store in 10 minutes. Personnel did not try to upsell and dishwasher was installed 4 hours later. Highly recommended!

Easy, quick, yet personable transaction! 1000% recommend! I called and asked if the Speed Queen was in stock, it was and I was given the price over the phone (best price I found during my research too). My toddler and I went to the store at 11am on a Friday, the gentleman was so nice to my son. We were in and out of the store in 10 minutes. Delivery was scheduled for the next morning but I wasn’t sure anyone would be home, and the gentleman said he’d try to have it delivered today but they were working on a big install an hour away. Sure enough I got a call at 3pm saying they could do it that day! Another gentleman arrived at 3:45pm and did the install quick. My toddler wanted to help and the gentleman was so kind and made him feel involved. I appreciated being accommodated on a Friday afternoon, it would have been easy to call it a day and do the install Saturday, but they recognized it would put me in a bind and they made it happen. I am definitely going back for all future purchases!

We just bought a Speed Queen front load washer and a cheaper model Speed Queen gas dryer with steam.
We went into A-1 on a Friday, and by Monday they were delivered and set up. They even took away my old units.
FYI, if you get a steam dryer, you have to ask for a steam kit. Mine didn't come with one.
These things are FAST. I believe we'll be happy with them for a long time.

A-1 has dropped the Maytag from their name because people thought that is all that he sells and it is not. I went to his store with the intention of purchasing a Maytag commercial grade washer and dryer like my son in law has, I found that the Speed queen commercial grade heavy duty washer and the Speed Queen commercial grade heavy duty, sanitize, and steam dryer were a better choice.
The washer has a 1 hp motor compared to 1/2 hp on the Maytag.
The washer adjusts the water level by weight like most of the energy efficient washers do, but you can add water by manually setting the level if you have very dirty clothes. Not all of the new machines have this ability. The dryer has a steam cycle ( to get rid of wrinkles) as well as a sanitize cycle, Both units are rugged, have minimum electronics, and are extremely quiet. 10 year warranty on motor and drum is a also a plus . Made in America,
These are the same units as laundry mats use without the coin box. They ain't cheap but I wont need to buy anything else in my lifetime. Go see A-1. Shop local with people who are part of the community. I am glad I did

My refrigerator in my garage started making a loud rubbing noise late Sunday night before bed and the items in the freezer were starting to defrost. I got up early Monday morning looking to see if anyone (Big Box Stores) delivered same day. Everyone showed Tuesday at the earliest. I called A1 Maytag and told Janet I was in a bind. She helped me find a refrigerator for my garage that didn't break the bank. Knowing that I already had all my Thanksgiving food needing to be refrigerated, she said they could deliver the same day. They brought it that morning and I am so pleased with their service that fully met my needs. I bought a Speed Queen Washer and Dryer from them a year and a half ago and had the same positive experience. Please give this company your business before going to a Big Box! You'll be glad you did.

Steve was the greatest. Had to hunt around to find someone who sold and could install JennAir range and dishwasher. Steve was professional, friendly, answered all my questions, and was more helpful than the other companies I contacted. He was honest with price, delivery, installation, and haul off of old appliances. Steve kept us informed and updated all the way. Did I mention that the installation crew did a phenomenal job and was not happy till we were happy. Thanks for everything.

We love the personal attention in helping us find the perfect appliance for our needs. Thank you, Janet. Also, we find their appliance repair person, David, to be outstanding. When we call to get an appointment, the very knowledgeable staff asks questions to help diagnose the problem. With that information the needed part is made ready for the repairman to take with him on his call. Because of this, only one visit needs to be had and we are back to normal! And, good news, they sell & repair brands other than Maytag.
