I went for brakes, oil change and tires and was there for only 2hrs. The service was great and they kept me updated on the progress. I was able to use the WiFi and get some work done while I waited

I've brought 3 of my 4 cars to the Humble location near the Beltway. Mike and his team has done an amazing job diagnosing the issues with the braking systems and in one case fixed the issue another auto repair place actually caused. Great price and incredible service!

My 2006 Rav4 v6 was randomly showing a symptom of loose / soft brake paddle. I have to press the brake paddle all the way down to stop the car. I took it to brakecheck. Chris and his assistant thoroughly checked the brakes/pads/calipers /rotors by removing all the tires. He recommended flushing the brake fluids. After the fluid flush, brake is working good. He didn't want to sale me unnecessary services. Highly recommend this place.

I have been dealing with this place for years and years and years and every time I come here, I can never get a decent price, I spend over $14-$1500 every time I come here within 2 to 3 months I’m back spending another thousand to $1200. work that I feel like that hasn’t been worked out the way it need to be worked out. Customer service is very rude certain ones I will say that

This location was awesome 😎👍🏽. I've had my issues with another nearby location, but I think I've found my new brake & rotor home location. Thanks again and may God bless 🙏🏽 US.

As a first-time customer, I had an excellent experience at Brake Check during my recent oil change! They made the whole process easy and stress-free. I’ll definitely be returning for future maintenance and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, trustworthy service! Very reasonably priced as well.

Recently, I took my car to this location to have the rear brakes replaced due to a squeaking noise. After an inspection, I was informed that my CV axle was cracked. Fortunately, it was still under warranty, so they agreed to replace and repair it. I was pleased at first, but after picking up my car, I noticed transmission fluid leaking heavily underneath and the splash guard dragging on the ground.
For context, my car has never given me major issues, and I’m diligent about maintenance. I brought the car back, and they agreed to fix those problems at no additional cost. However, when I picked it up again, both the battery light and the wheel light were on.
I spoke to the manager, Chris, who was difficult to communicate with due to his lack of technical knowledge—even on basic repairs like brakes. I asked him to replace the car battery because it was clearly dead. His response was dismissive. I asked if he expected me to drive a car that was shutting off while in motion, and he seemed unfazed.
I then reached out to HR and the Vice President, Brandon, to report the situation and the damage caused, as Chris does not appear to be a qualified mechanic. Brandon allowed me to take the car to a different location. That location claimed there was no leak but went ahead and replaced the alternator. I later discovered they had also replaced the battery—which was the actual issue all along—meaning I unnecessarily paid for an alternator due to the original shop’s negligence in leaving my car running all day.
When I inspected the car further, I noticed the transmission fluid was still leaking. Upon removing the wheel, I discovered they had used JB Weld on what was supposed to be a new seal. A properly installed seal shouldn’t require JB Weld, and the compound needs at least 24 hours to cure. There was no explanation given to me about this temporary fix, which is unacceptable.
Brake Check clearly does not employ certified, qualified mechanics. I strongly suggest choosing a local mechanic or dealership that values higher standards, accountability, and integrity. As of now, Vice President Brandon has yet to return any of my calls about this matter.
Before leaving this shop, be sure to thoroughly inspect your car—because there’s no telling what they may have damaged or failed to repair correctly.
