It concerns me that the nurse practitioner that took care of me enter the room without knowing anything about my medical history. I’ve been visiting with the same person for over a year now and every time is as if it was the first time. I am not a doctor or a nurse, but isn’t the purpose of the patient’s documented visits a must read before taking care of patient. I am seriously considering looking for another health provider.

The appointment I have had annually took 2 hours instead of the normal 1 hour. An hour of that was waiting in the exam room for the PA. There was no explanation or a nurse dropping in to apologize or explain. There have been recent staff changes that may be the reason.

All went well except that I was not informed that the phlebotomist took a lunch break at the same time as my appointment so I had to return again to have my blood drawn.

Staff is kind but the wait time is easily (and I don’t say this lightly) the worst I’ve ever come across in a medical office. I had a 10AM appointment with Shawn Jensen and was not seen until around 12PM.

Absolute worst experience I have ever had at this location and it was so bad I most likely will not be returning. After arriving to my appointment 20 minutes early I was not called back to see the doctor until about 45 minutes to an hour after I arrived. After I sat in the patient room waiting for the doctor to come and see me (again waited another 45 mins) The doctor comes in and tells me that I am positive for COVID-19!!!!!!!! I asked him "how that was possible since him nor any of his staff has even been in the room to check on me much less run any tests or swabs" The doctor leaves and then comes back nonscholontly and stated "oh sorry it's the gentleman in the room next to you who has COVID let me go tell and take care of him and then we'll be back to see what's going on with you" so I was there for a total of 2 and 1/2 hours they only looked in my ears said I probably had a sinus infection, gave me a steroid shot and sent me on my way. Seems like they need more staff at that place. Sean has always been great but it seems like he is stretched thin because nobody else wants any of the other doctors to be their primary doctor in that facility. I am sad after 5 years I will no longer consider village medical my primary care provider.
