These people are incompetent, poorly informed, and I’ve had to educate and explain the tax code to them to get proper returns. Originally they said I owed $2k, after my own research and telling them what to do my refund was $26k. It took months for them to handle some relatively simple Schedule C and Section 179 depreciation expense. I had all my docs to them by mid-February. They didn’t file until April. Then they put the wrong account number for my efile return and this caused it to go into an IRS black hole where I had to file a complaint with my senator, and work with an IRS advocate to finally get my refund in September. Their incompetence lead to me having to wait 8 months and spend enormous amounts of time, energy, and effort to fix their mistakes. I’m sure they’ll have some evasive response working responsibility. I love that they have the option to upload documents to a secure portal and they schedule Zoom meetings. I live over an hour away from their office, but I would gladly take the drive because I know they will do my taxes correctly and are detailed. They are very knowledgeable, personable and take care of things quickly.

I had an excellent experience with James Agency!!! I was extremely nervous and in dire need of help to file several years of returns. After interviewing a few companies I decided to go with Mr Harold James at James Agency and so glad I did. He remained in constant communication with me and took time to explain everything in detail and answered ALL my questions, and I had A LOT. Not to mention his fees are very fair and less than other companies quoted me. James Agency has truly earned a customer for life!

I had an amazing experience with Harold and Karen!! They not only completed my taxes but took the time to explain how to avoid paying penalties and interest. And they even looked at the previous years taxes to see how they could help. I will be returning back next year! Thanks.

I have known Harold and Karen James for well over 10 years. Their professionalism and attention to detail is unsurpassed in the industry. In 2018, I needed help sorting out a huge tax mess, The James Agency was extremely supportive and helped calm my nerves and unravel multiple years of tax issues for me personally. They also helped file the proper required tax forms and returns for two businesses that were non-compliant. In the end, it was determined that an offer in compromise with the IRS was the only solution to my personal tax issues. The James Agency was able to negotiate a solution with the IRS that resulted in the tax, penalties and interest being reduced by over $90K. If it was not for the help of The James Agency, I would still be in a downward spiral with the IRS.
