The braids were absolutely beautiful, but what really impressed me were the high-quality products they used. Since my appointment, I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my hair growth, and my scalp is more moisturized and healthier than ever. My recent appointment at Lady A' was amazing! I'm a returning customer. My experience at Lady A's was fabulous (and always has been). The care and customer service for my hair has been second to none. My hair technician has and continues to provide healthy hair care management. I feel and look beautiful when I leave. Would recommend Lady A's to those searching for a stylist with "growing hands" and a "grounded spirit". Looking forward to my next style on this natural hair journey.

The experience was just outright amazing, Phone call was very smooth and easy to make an appointment, reasonable price for the 2 strand twist I got, they offered me snacks and drinks, then the whole scene of the shop is wonderful. All the ladies in there are professional so you dont have to worry about that. Took at most 2 hours to get my twist done. Highly recommended

Oh gosh. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Got cornrows done here and they were frizzy from the jump. Also I noticed the stylist used quite a bit of product (had a weird odor) to keep the hair down. Despite this i didnt complain because sometimes the hair just needs to settle and/or be laid down with a durag. So I remained positive and didn't complain on the spot.
Fast forward Wed (got hair done the previous Friday) and my hair looks like how it normally does after having rows for two weeks. It's bad. Even worse, that caked on product is drying in the layers of my cornrows white and the product is emitting an even grosser smell. So nasty. Now I'm forced to take out my $90 cornrows (yes $85 for the rows alone but I tipped $5 extra for the trouble despite the work being bad. I normally tip 20%).
The worst part, I reached out to Lady As seeing if they would show some customer service, and the owner basically called me a liar and said I didn't complain on the spot so sorry.
Terrible. Don't go here. Admittedly, I may have waited a tad long to complain. But, I've seriously never had this type of experience getting rows done EVER. And I've been getting rows on and off for over 15 years. At some point, facts outweigh the amount of time passed.
Lady As, a word of advice: sometimes it's just better to level with the customer then stick to weak counterarguments...you know that phrase "the customer is always right?" If you would have resolved this correctly, I would be leaving a 5 star review and giving you repeat business. This was a trivial thing for the result you've now recieved.
Edit: review edited to show the nasty white product and level of friziness after only a few days.

This is hands down the best salon I've been to!!! Everyone in the salon is nice and always seem to be in good spirits. I've never had to wait long to be seated in the styling chair. It's clean and you just feel comfortable here. I've been to Mrs. A, Ms. Keria and Ms. Kajha and they all are amazing stylists. Will definitely be going back. Lady A's feel like home.

I am very careful about who I let touch my hair. With that being said I strongly recommend going to Lady A’s for your braiding needs. Everyone that works there is friendly and they do their best to make sure you are comfortable and happy with your service. I love that they keep their door locked, people are crazy. The first time I went April did my knotless braids and the second time Kajha did them. I was happy both times. Also I’ve never had someone offer to wash and condition my hair before doing my braids. I'm always nervous about trying new places for my hair because you never know the true skill level and professionalism until the service is over. I recently moved here in the area, and I was caught off guard by the website because it played music. I thought, "Oh no... This place is going to ratchet." LOL. (Sorry but true only because of past experiences.) But I definitely misjudged and was nervous for nothing! It is a nice, professional place, and I felt very VIP because Lady A herself did my hair and on a day they weren't even open (Tuesday)!!! I got my hair done by the owner of the hair place on her day off, so I feel pretty famous like a privileged superstar now my ego pretty high. Lol. The place is really nice, too. I usually get my hair done at African Braiding Hair Places and most of their places are simple enough to get my hair done, but Lady A had a super cool glass fish tank table already there as soon as I walked in. I was already impressed by that and the decor. The place was kept like someone that actually wants the best for her business and you can tell it's a nice place to go. I really admired this woman, her business, and her braiding skills. The prices were fair as well, so anyone looking to get their hair braided, I recommend this place. I've had such bad experiences before at hair places, so I'm glad to have found the new place I can go to get my hair done in this new area without having to keep searching and losing money. I found one on the first try :)

Door locked during business hours, Im a male with long natural hair, she came and unlocked the door, I asked do they have anyone that can give me 4 braids, she said no and she was sorry but didn’t ask me if I wanted to schedule a appointment or anything. Feel like Im not their type of customer

My son and I really enjoyed going to Lady A's the only problem I have is the price is always increasing. Every time when I schedule for the same service the price is always increasing. We are on a fixed income and the continual increasing in price makes it difficult for us to plan our hair services,

Edit: It’s now been 3 years since I first got my hair done at Lady A’s and I always get compliments on my hair! The new location is bigger (it’s huge) and better than ever! Fantastic quality of service as usual and the atmosphere is relaxing. I’m from the Houston area but have been living 3 hours away for several years and drive to Humble to get my hair done because I want my hair to look good. People always ask where I get my hair done and I tell them I go to Lady A’s because it’s worth the drive!
I've been going here for almost a year now and always leave very satisfied with my hair! I love that the studio is appointment-based because I feel like the focus is on me while I get my hair done and everyone there is very nice. I've had a variety of styles (box braids, twists, feed-in) that get tons of compliments with each new style. My mom loved how nice my hair always looks so much that she started going to Lady A's a few months ago. The prices are reasonable given the quality of service compared to other salons --- especially since several styles include hair. They are careful not to get my braids too tight and always keep me informed of the best way to maintain my braids as I finish up with my appointment. Also, the Lady A's leave-in conditioner works wonders on my hair! It took me a long time to find a quality studio to get my hair done and I'm so glad I don't have to look anymore!

This is the first hair place I went to a year ago and I haven't even looked for another one. I love this place and the girls that work there r friendly and make u feel at home.
