This park has multiple trails to choose from, some of which are also open to fur babies. Often, you can see deer (and other wildlife) in the early mornings. Also, the view from some locations are breathtaking.

Aside from the spectacular trails and beach, it's a cultural learning experience especially if you come when the homestead tour guides are here, they are phenomenal about replicating the daily ritual tasks, maintenance & life from both the native Americans to colonists, from blacksmithing to farming to cotton refining to food processing and storage (cellar, smokehouse, chicken coop, barn) to living (bed rope tightening, house building & welling) It's truly an all-encompassing experience not to be missed!

Nice big and pretty park with nice trails. The reason i just gave 3 stars is that most of the trails don't allow dogs on them. I guess whoever is in charge of the park rules is not a dog lover.

The nature park is tranquil. It's a nice get away to nature close to the city. It has lots of wildlife, walking and hiking trails and plenty of miles to ride your bicycle. The park also host many events, educational opportunities and family activities year round. I like it, it's nice but make sure you have insect repellent when you go, lots of bugs

I just moved here and was recommended this park for afternoon walks.I will never visit this park again. Although it's very beautiful the bikers literally take up the trail.we spent more time trying not to get ran over than enjoying the walk. On a second note there are no signs on how to exit the park so we ended up getting lost for almost an hour..thank god for tracking on our vehicles. And to to top it all off we get to the front to leave to get stopped by this rude police officer who insists that he spoke to us in regards to the time the park closes and he did not and issues us a warning .although I understand the rules I really think they should be more considerate of first time visitors and take into account that things happen and give a grace period to get out . We were literally at the gate at 8:05 smh. And there definitely needs to be exit signs up

One of the best bike trails you'll find in the Houston area. It's definitely out there being in Humble but you can't beat the path with the variety of elevations and flatland. Not to mention the park itself has walkways and a small boardwalk around the bayou area. While it's far from me, it's worth visiting in every aspect!

We love taking our grandson to this park. We love taking nature walks here. We love the bike trails and on occasion you may catch a little festival going on here. They have areas covered and uncovered to have parties. They also have clean bathrooms which is always a plus with children. Definitely recommend this park for all your needs.

The scenery is BEAUTIFUL! But some of the bikers feel the need to be extra rude and very outspoken. We are all trying to share the lane, please be kind and cautious when approaching others - whether a pedestrian or another fellow biker. Just be kind and understand that the lanes are meant to be shared!

If you want to go on a nice long hike that provides off trailing and paved trails, this should be marked as your "go-to"! Such a great day trip to go on! Before hitting the trail, there are nice picnic areas near the entrance. This natural preserve leads to other trails throughout the Humble/Spring area and consists of a paved trail of up to 27 miles long! For you bikers, this is known to be a hell of a ride. There are hills that run throughout that will give you a great workout. The trail takes you through the forest where you can see an amazing area to fish. I saw people canoeing and wade fishing. Looked awesome and definitely going to try it out when the weather allows. Highly recommended for a great trail adventure!

Jesse Jones Park and Nature Center is a large 312 acre park located in the Humble area of town. This park is huge and offers a lot of trails. Most recently we wanted to check out the beach bordering spring creek. We parked and took the Palmetto trail heading in the direction of the beach. The trails in this part of the park are unmarked. What an adventure! We ended up taking the White Oak Trail to the High Bank trail wandering around until we made it to the beach. Warning: the High Bank trail is a narrow, sandy unmarked trail with many bugs. Next time, we will be taking the old logging road - a paved trail - to the beach. We were excited to see a pair of horse riders come to the beach! Check out more details on our blog:

It's a nice place to walk/run your dog as well at your self the only thing you have to watch out for bikers some of them can be rude while your walking or running and don't move out of the way in time . Then there's the other issue that it's become a crime scene on several occasions just like any other place make sure you go on a decent time and take safety precautions where ever you go there has been a lot more constables on watch that makes me feel somewhat safer in a way but you never know , all in all good place to just relax and let your dogs go out with you on a nice run or walk.

Second time visiting this park and I didn't realize how massive it was until today. First visit was for a picnic date, so didn't really take notice of all the trials and playgrounds this place has. I really enjoyed my nature walk the 2nd time around--hearing the birds chirping and the crickets. Thank goodness I wore repellant because this park is very woodsy. You actually get a reprive from the beaming sun because of the overlapping trees in many areas of the trails. I will say that I felt like I was getting ran over at the Spring Cteek Greenway Trail because many bicyclist use that trail--at the fastest speed possible! It is much smoother that the other trials. For walkers or runners, I would suggest switching to the other side of the park and utilizing the Old Logging Trail or Palmetto Trail. They provide a flat walking surface but do not allow bicyclist on them. They have some small imperfections or bumps in the surface of the trail, which would not be ideal for bikes, but its just right for walkers or runners. From observation, the Palmetto Trail is much more rugged than the Old Logging Trail which is the smoothest walking trail. Makes a difference to your feet! Plenty of social distancing can be created between all who attend this park because of how big it is. Local organizations have even adopted different parts of the park ro keep it managed and beautiful. Great idea! Bring your insect repellant and water and enjoy a nice day at the park by yourself or with family and friends.
