I’ve never had a problem with Vetco until now.My dog has now what I know as kennel cough and the vet told me that he could have an upper respiratory infection or an enlarged heart and really encouraged me to get a chest film/cardiograph for $500 but wouldn’t send him home with any medicine to help with his cough. Did let me know that kennel cough is on the rise though. I also let them know I have 2 other dogs at home, one which is a 3 month old puppy. Was told to just wait and see what happens. Hopefully it clears up on its own. We walked out of there with a rabies vaccination and a negative heartworm test. And being asked if I wanted to put my dog on Simparica? This was before his heartworm test came back negative. Again, I came because my boy is COUGHING.I have the petco premier for all of my dogs and the tech for some reason almost couldn’t take off the vet exam fee or the $15 petco credit I had. At first it was just a system problem and there was nothing she could do. After a few minutes, somehow she was able to get it taken care of.Had to call the vet back to ask, what do I with my other dogs? Am I really just supposed to wait to see if he gets worse? Worse is the reason I brought him to the vet and I’m just supposed to wait and see if it goes one way or another? What about my puppy at home? Also while on the phone with Karen (that’s really her name), the phone call “disconnected”. I want to strong believe that she did not hang up on me. Never got any attempt of a callback. Now, the very next day, all of my dogs have a cough. (I know how viruses/bacteria work so I’m sure it’s been brewing in all of them, but I not quite sure where they’ve gotten it from as we haven’t gone anywhere with others dogs as again, I have a new puppy)

We brought our pup in last Saturday 10/21 as we’d just rescued him. Exams were done and we were not notified of the results despite the results having been available since Sunday 10/22. There was a total disregard for our pup’s health and well being. They also had the audacity to say the 5 dollars off the medication was for the inconvenience they caused. Absolutely deplorable. I’d think twice before booking here despite the ease. After VetCo response: I don’t believe anyone other than the receptionist took accountability for your vet tech’s mistake. No one offered any explanation as to the lapse in care nor did anyone other than the receptionist speak to me. You all did not even come out to speak to me regarding the medication AND it was not added into the system properly as the receptionist had to go to the back two times for clarification. Do better.Even more events: we requested out pet’s records over a week ago and never got anything back despite having been told that it would take 24 hours.Vet and vet tech said they’d follow up with me. I asked both staff to update my phone as the current one was my fiancé’s and he is not always available to take calls due to his work. I was told to change that with the front desk, so I did. Never got a call. Then I call and I am told that the medical staff need to update contact information for a pet. I reiterate to the reception person that I was told otherwise when I was there in person Saturday. Out of the total interactions we had with this location we’ve only managed one decent one after they at least acknowledged their royal screw up of my first review.

this place it actually no bad at all I thought it was super expensive but it is just reasonable honestly. I took my dog there she’s a rescued dog she had an infection in her rear legs I was very worry about how much it would cost me Kuz I really didn’t have much to spend at the moment but I was very surprised when they told me how much was going to be it was relieve lol. I was thinking going back to my old clinic in Passadena Kuz I know they cheap but they far so I decided to come here since they are super close to me and turns out it was prolly $30 more of a difference. This people tell you step by step how much everything will cost even the doc I don’t temembwe her name tho I think Dr Fedri or something like that “sorry” she even told me right there in there it was $48 for a scrape test. I really liked today I’m glad I came here. Everyone was very nice there.I highly recommend this clinic thank you VETCO

So far, I am satisfied with the care of my pet. The staff and the vetinarians take good care of my pet.

They did take care of my cat well but I did not request a check-up. They overcharged me and I only wanted her nails trimmed. I’ll just be doing them myself since they told me every-time I come in, it’ll be $25 just to see a vet tech then add the $18 for the nail trim. Yeah, no thanks.

This was the first time I had been here and was really impressed with the way the staff cared for the animals..... The wait time was very short, and the doctor explained everything to me in a way that I understood..

They overcharge and throw in services you didn't even request. My wife brought our dog in for a simple ear infection and walked out with an almost $300 bill. First, we asked for a cost of a surgery, and instead they ran a test for an additional $50 that we didn't request. They did offer to at least refund this, but they refused to do it over the phone, would only refund in person, and frankly I don't have the time to go back up there anytime soon to get this refund. Then they sold her a bottle of ear cleaner for $50, which of course they wouldn't let me bring back because it's not something we even need. $50 though! The exact same bottle can be bought OTC off basically any website for $12-15! That's almost a 400% markup for a basic bottle of ear cleaner! Insane. The actual medication was about DOUBLE the price you can order it from an online pet pharmacy. Do yourself a favor, if you bring your pet here, just get a prescription and buy your medication elsewhere so you're not getting ripped off.

So great with my cat. She is not the most excited to go for doctor visits. They made her feel comfortable.

They took great care of my Luna. Called me after the spay to tell me it went well and what time frame to pick her up. They explained to me how to take care at home. I felt comfortable knowing that I could call if I had any concerns.

Love the grooming area. They all genuinely care about the animals they groom. I love that my dog doesn't have to stay for hours.

Because our cat was bottle fed only by humans & no mama cat he is extremely scared of everything outside his home. Your doctor & assistant were super sensitive to our needs. We will continue to come back forever.

I had a terrible experience I've been here a few time with my pets, they tell you one price before starting any service and then change the cost at check out. They told us one price then at check out it was $100 more than expected!!!

This was my puppy's WORST haircut ever from this location and it was his birthday (as well as Mother's Day). When I went to pick him up he was way too excited for me to check him. I paid for the cut and also tipped. When I got home when after he calmed down I noticed all the horrible mistakes, his stomach and chest area was completely gashed up and his ears were filthy. The shape of his head was lopsided ( I had to fixed the haircut after the haircut ), but his stomach and ears was extremely unacceptable! I called back to make a complaint about the job by groomer Samantha, she said to bring him back and she'd fix it, since it was Mother's Day I decided to arrange the next day to fix the corrections because I didn't want to keep driving back and forth. I took him back and it doesn't look any better (hence WHY I'm leaving a review). It feels deceptive for me to pay and tip and the groomer KNEW she had issues with the appointment and new she messed his cut up, for me to get home only to have to bring him back for mistakes that should have been corrected before they called me to pick him up. If I'm paying $130 for a bath and cut, my dog need to ACTUALLY have had a bath and a proper cut. I've been to this location before where I've paid for a bath and cut and could SMELL he didn't have a bath but only a cut and they charged me for both. The deception is disgusting, I will not be returning.

I have been going to this Petco location since 2015. Piper, my dog, got well trained by a nice guy named Austin. Is always a pleasant experience when we visit the store.
