I go here on a regular basis for any hardware and always get my 20 lb propane jug filled. It's always always leave it at he door right outside. In a certain spot. So I always do and they always tell me that. Anyway, yesterday it's cold and raining I leave my jug at the door, go inside and tell them, they said ok great, pull around to the side of the building. I do like I always do. So as I wait, here comes the guy to fill it empty handed. So I got out of the truck and Said the jug is beside the front door . The guy responded with " Ain't my problem". So i ran around to the front and grabbed my jug and took it to him. They Just need be clear to what you want the customer do do. Vs. Employees responsibility. Even if it was my responsibility the employee should have responded in a positive way not a real jerk weed way! Ps..I hope he got wetter than i did!

AMAZING Experience!! Michael and his team at Jabo's Ace Hardware are nothing short of fantastic! From the time you walk in to the store, everyone is welcoming, kind and helpful, and they go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. I ordered a grill as a birthday present to be delivered for my boyfriend's birthday. Not only did they assemble and deliver it, but Michael sent a special Happy Birthday message as a surprise the night before. At Jabo's Ace Hardware, they provide an excellent experience that you just don't get anywhere else. Way to go team! I'll definitely be shopping there again!

I got a $10 off $10 or more for my b-day from this place. Remember that. So I bought a bolt there that was to literally hold my engine up in my car. The day before my birthday, a couple of months after purchase, I had a strange noise coming from my car on the highway sounding kinda like a flat. I immediately pulled over and there was the bolt from ace, snapped in half sitting on top of my engine. The other half… yep. Still in the block. So I called up there after I had bought a new bolt from an old man that seemed mad I was even there to find out about an extraction tool. They were soon to close but I was at a red light looking at their store. Even though I was going to make it in time I courtesy called to get a tool ready. After explaining I could have died due to their faulty bolt that’s now broken off in my engine and now have a “pita” job to do to get my car running again the response was nothing more than, “okay, sir. I just want to let you know we close in 8 minutes.” All kinds of terrible thoughts blazed through my head but I showed up to a youngster and an old smoking a cigarette man and 2 other whiteheads with folded arms where they really need a greeter! When the kid told me “here’s this one.” I Said, “How much?” When he told me $35 I said “Y’all have nothing else here that can help extract a bolt for less than $35?” Quickly one of the old bad attitude men said that it was the one for my size bolt. I know better so I wanted to see and suddenly they knew nothing except how to angrily show me products by reading their labels and reading what I could obviously see. I said fine I’ll use my birthday coupon to lessen the blow on the death bolt. The coupon was valid, my bday was 2 daisy prior and it didn’t work. At that point, I hadn’t heard one apology, been given an ounce of respect or been treated any way other than a total pita. That’s when I threw down the death bolt, grabbed my keys and said nevermind. The I finally got a kind remark! “Do you want your birthday coupon?” Ha! I have gone there for years. Mr. C’s is long gone. Jacob must be the antichrist! I will never step foot in there again. If you have any dignity, spare yourself.

Hey Folks, Jabo's Ace Hardware in Hurst, has really got the store in good order. I personally have been dealing at this store for 30 years now. Previously owned by the(Ciere) brothers, I know I have not spelled their last name correctly***Awesome guys too. This Ace has the great staff, the store manager, Mr. Michael Finley, is a very professional and kind gentleman. Willing to listen and assist for any item that could possibly be in their tidy store. The good fellow at the parts counter is so knowledgeable and helpful for a great assortment of parts and tools. When at the register, the cheerful cashiers are expeditiousand thorough, this whole staff is likewise. They have earned my trust.

Always the best customer service in Tarrant County! Charlie stood beside me and just listened about our community garden and their Botanical Interests seeds ! So, I bought $56.00 worth of them. For our Autumn community garden. He learned a few things about Fall Gardening! And I really hope the manager will move the Botanical Interests seeds back to the front of the store because I have had 40 friends tell me they had a hard time finding Fall seeds in our neighborhood Y'all. We are down a foot of rain in Hurst, TX, in an above average heatwave Summer. People will still be planting their cool weather crop gardens even into October and November 2023. We did not even have a freeze last winter till in December2022. You can plant a Fall Garden. Water your seeds everyday after you plant them. Our garden averages hundreds of lbs a year of fresh organic produce donated to the local food bank a year. We currently have 40 families and 65 preK students between 3-4 years old gardening with us. We have pollinator beds, PreK beds, monarch butterfly beds, we do our own compost and have our own non aggressive bee hives. Please teach these skill and pass it on to the next generations. In WWII they had victory gardens. During COVID we have had victory gardens! Right now some of us Baby Boomers still pray for rain. Thank You, Jabo`s Ace Hardware for blessing the Hurst Community! Please note some of the Fall seeds appropriate for planting in the pictures section below for October 2023! And Happy Planting!October planting Zone 8 Texas: Arugula, Green Beans, Dragon Beans, Beans, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Cucumber, Kohlrabi, Sweet Potatoes, Squash, Sweet English Peas, Purple Hull Peas, Black Eyed Peas, Beets, Collards, Garlic Cloves, Lettuce, Onion Slips, Parsley, Spinach, Rosemary, Basil, Thyme, Radishes, all herbs, all flowers and November 2023Carrots, Mustard, Onion Seeds, Radishes, Spinach, Lettuce, Arugula, Turnips, by November 2023 planting

Amazing customer service from the moment we walked in the store. Michael was friendly and welcoming as well as helpful and very knowledgeable about the items we were looking for. He also checked in on us several times as we looked around the rest of the store. He saved us a bunch of time locating the items we needed. The store was clean and well organized. A much better experience than any of the big box stores. If you need plumbing, look for the really tall guy. He is amazing!

Today, I was at a pharmacy, getting a couple vaccinations in preparation for flu season when I realized I was very close to Jabo's Ace Hardware. I actually thought it would be great to just go browse their store.I NEVER go to hardware stores just for fun. EVER.In the past, I usually visited the big box home improvement stores, like Home Depot and Lowes, but only did so, when I had a project underway and wanted to make sure I could find whatever esoteric part I might need. Those stores are so huge that I am usually confident I'll buy what I need (if I can find it). The downside of the big box stores is that their inventory is so large and complex that it's hard to find things and if you do find the right location in the store, so many other customers have picked through the bins that many bins have the wrong item or parts have been stolen, leaving incomplete products. In fact, during my last visit to Home Depot, I wanted to buy a 1-1/2" pvc pipe, but didn't want to buy a 10' long one. I finally found the shorter ones, inside a display box of air conditioner filters! I never could locate where they should have been. It's quite frustrating when these things happen.Let me digress a bit...I was recently looking for wood pellets for my new Traeger smoker. The Traeger site mentioned several places where I could buy them. A quick search of websites showed ACE had many, many Traeger accessories, so I decided to give them a try. The closest Ace to my home was Jabo's, so I drove over. Jabo's Ace Hardware has to be the nicest, most organized hardware store I've ever seen. I was truly impressed. What impressed me even more was how attentive the staff was. I was greeted by the cashier as I entered the store. Floor staff members asked if they could help me find anything, but I declined. (When's the last time you were greeted or asked about your needs at a big box hardware store?I browsed the amazing Traeger inventory but could not locate the pellets for which I was searching (hickory). I finally asked a passing employee about it and he looked through their inventory and confirmed they did not have what I wanted. He recommended I visit a much larger Ace store about ten miles away, which I did. That location had what I wanted, but wait...The staff at Jabo's was so attentive I decided to stop by to look for another smoker accessory. The same person saw me and asked if I needed help. We looked through the accessories again, but they did not have what I wanted. He offered to order it for me, but I was planning to cook that day and declined the offer. I thanked him for his help and after a little more browsing, headed for my car. Before I could get in the car, the staff member came running out looking for me. He said he checked a storage unit behind the store and found what I wanted there!Again, have you ever experienced this at the big box stores??? I was so very impressed that, when emailed and asked to fill out a customer satisfaction survey, I did and gave a glowing review.Fast forward to today:When I went to Jabo's this time, I didn't plan to buy anything. I was just killing time. The very same member of the staff approached me and greeted me as if he remembered me. (Great sales technique, but come on...) I told him I was just browsing and he let me do as I wished, saying as he moved away, to let him know if I needed help. Then he thanked me for the review I submitted previously. He DID remember me!I saw two items in which I was interested, a Traeger pellet sensor and a small Weber kettle grill. The Traeger package did not say how the sensor get's its power, so I asked the salesperson for help. (I hate items that require disposable batteries) He didn't see the answer on the package either and said, "Let's find out together." We walked to a computer and he went online to get the answer. We watched a video that showed how to install the sensor and it showed it being connected to a wire in the smoker. Question answered! Now came the difficult part.

I placed an online order easily and was notified that the item was ready for pickup. When I arrived, I found a clean, tidy, well-organized store and bought a few more items. There were people to help me find what I wanted, who knew plenty about light bulbs, little hardware I needed, and pet items. Check out person was friendly and the whole experience going there was pleasant. Highly recommend!

Today I went into the store to have a key cut. I was greeted nicely by the cashier at the time.. I asked her where I can go to get a key cut and she pointed me to the back of the store and said she would call someone to help me. So far so good! The guy at the key cutting station was not so nice with his greeting. I handed him my key and a blank and he asked me if I bought it from them.. I answered I did not.. He told me he couldn't make the key and he was sorry. They would not even cut it for a fee. I was not expecting it for free. I would of gladly paid for it to be cut. Is this a policy of the store?

This store is in my area so I am a frequent customer. Because of the relevant inventory and exceptional customer service I am most often inclined to go to Jabo's Ace Hardware before the nearby big box home improvement stores. On a recent visit, I had a potentially awkward moment, but Michael jumped in and immediately turned it around to be a joyful one. Five plus stars for your effort, Michael!! I appreciate you all!
