Usually have no problem renting from Avis. This time though, disappointed.Reservation the night before, for over a week online. I picked my pick up time Sunday Noon, with later openenings available..The confirmation, fine print included, said nothing about closing at Noon. I arrived shortly after, the business was closed, locked lights off. Terrible inconvenience.Called today, no cars available and the only suggestion, since prepaid, was to call around to other Avis locations, and would have to call customer service for the 1 day refund. The clerk was professional however not helpful in being able to check sytem availability elsewhere, but the other locations would be able to call up my confirmation number.Terrible inconvenience , further distance, time, etc.

They let you do your entire rental set up then ask for your social. For a CREDIT CHECK. TO RENT A VEHICLE. Are you kidding me? Never again.

Came to pick up a prepaid rental and was denied because their system doesn’t have a chip reader and they claimed they were unable to manually enter card info and no way to use the card I had booked with. Absurd in 2022 when I can pay with my phone or watch at most places.

Very unprofessional. Waited 20 minutes until I was to pick up to inform me they had no car. Tried to say I used a 3rd party website when I booked through their website. Do not recommend.

Called in to confirm they said everything is good .. got into an uber to get there they called back and said they have no cars . Waste of time and money. Bad business

Renting a car without a credit card can be stressful but Avis has always came through & made the process easy!Note: you’ll be able to rent with debit card, they just place a hold for about $200 to cover any damages (if any).

I have been renting cars from this location for years. The service is very poor now. The management is very poor. I reserved a premium vehicle and I didn’t receive a call until 30 minutes prior to picking up the vehicle that they didn’t have the vehicle I reserved available. I had no time to find another car to drive out of town. The car that was available was a Toyota Camry that was dented and scratched all over with an odor on the inside of the car and stains on the seat. They charged me $250 to clean the inside of the vehicle which I know for sure could have easily been vacuumed for $1. They overcharged me and they have the complaints from other customers. I am going to report them to the Better Business Bureau.

CAUTION, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.I would suggest not renting from this place or any Avis honestly. I book a car, pre paid for it AT THIS LOCATION, I come here and they tell me they can't give me the car because my driver's license is from North Carolina. They claim they've been having a lot of fraud from people in North Carolina. Problem I have with that is I've rented from Avis numerous times prior to this (very recently as well) so it shouldn't be a problem.I even called customer service and they couldn't override it knowing I'm a returning customer. The least they could have done was told me this before I came to this location and wasted my time and money.Extremely unprofessional. Definitely will never be renting frim Avis again.

**Avis Preferred** business customers should avoid this independent operator as they are not set up or interested in accommodating us from paperwork to service delivery. I’ve given them 3-4 chances but each time has been met with frustration after frustration. They are obnoxiously meticulous with the checkin and checkout paperwork which is supposed to be streamlined for Preferred customers as the vehicles are well protected under extremely gracious Corporate insurance umbrellas and processes. Today, after a long week of work travel, I had my wife follow me to drop off my rental and they claimed that I had excessive pet hair damage and would be charging me $75. Folks I picked up (a) dog from a vet appointment this week and while some hair was present, it was well within reason of a simple vacuum which is exactly what I did. It took me literally 3 minutes to remove all of the pet hair from vehicle. However, in doing so my wife had to leave to get my daughter to her volleyball game on time which was supposed to be a family affair. I had to Uber home and miss my daughters volleyball game because this independent contractor has no interest in even trying to accommodate the Corp business travelers who pay their bills. Excessive smoke or pet damage means that you will have to categorically change the method of cleaning and therefore need to charge more. That makes sense but was absolutely not the case today and I have pictures to prove it. Routine vacuums should occur after every rental. Very frustrated and disappointed. I will certainly take my business travel needs elsewhere. I’m also going to reach out to the Avis independent contractor managing group to discuss the dynamic.
