My recent visit to Calloway's Nursery was truly exceptional, and I can't recommend this place enough. Despite the scorching Texas heat, every single person on staff greeted me with a genuine smile and a warm welcome. The positive energy was palpable from the moment I walked in the door.
I'm a new homeowner in Texas, and I was feeling a bit overwhelmed by the prospect of landscaping and planting in a new climate. However, my anxiety quickly disappeared thanks to the incredible guidance of the manager, Allyson. She was an absolute gem—friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. Allyson took the time to listen to my needs and helped me navigate the wide selection of plants. She provided invaluable advice on what would thrive here in our local conditions, ensuring that I left with a fantastic plan and the perfect plants for my new yard.
It's rare to encounter such outstanding customer service, especially from a store manager who is so hands-on and genuinely passionate about helping customers. My trip to Calloway's was more than just a shopping trip; it was a truly educational and enjoyable experience, all thanks to Allyson and her wonderful team. I'll definitely be a returning customer!

I absolutely love Calloway's Nursery! This location always has a great stock of incredibly healthy plants, and the staff is very friendly and knowledgable. I've noticed recently that it seems like they are increasing their stock of native plants, which I am so excited about!
If anyone at Calloway's Corporate Office reads this: I love the native plants you have begun stocking, but would love to see even more variety in the future. Native gardening is becoming incredibly popular and I think Calloway's has a unique opportunity to really corner the market on native container-grown plants, since the big box stores like Lowes and Home Depot probably won't ever stock natives due to the logistics of doing that nation-wide (and even if they did start stocking natives we all know they would be mealy bug infested and half dead from being watered so irregulary). Thanks for considering my request :)

Love Calloway's. They typically have a greater selection of plants although the prices can be higher. Still, I enjoy walking through even when not buying anything.

Don’t expect to be able to talk to anyone on the phone to get a question answered before trekking out to the facility.
Twice I called and immediately was placed on hold. No hold music just dead air. After 5 minutes on hold the first time and 9 minutes the next time, gave up.
All I wanted was to find out if they had a particular plant in stock before heading over to purchase 5 of them.
Thankfully SiteOne and Premier Nursery answer calls and addressed my question immediately. A loss of $300 to Calloways but like taking a question over the telephone I’m sure they don’t care.

Best experience! Everyone there treats you very well. They are always courteous, kind, and polite. Ms. RITA offers the best customer service in town. The gentleman there is knowledgeable and kind. Also, they have a wide variety of plants: suculents, trees, herbs, and so much more.

I'm not a plant person, not going to be a plant person, but I needed a plant person! Got all the help I needed. Everyone was friendly, and I was happy that what I bought was on sale! Thanks, y'all!

Although I appreciate a plant guarantee, the customer service I received at this store was less than “premium” or “rich and exciting”
The young lady that handled my return was not as helpful and knowledgeable as I expected. Not personal at all and didn’t want to go out of her way to accommodate me.

Fantastic selection and even better customer service. Nancy was a wealth of knowledge. I came in just to look and I ended up buying several plants. I absolutely love everything I bought. My yard looks fantastic thanks to her. She definitely went above and beyond to help me. She was very respectful, and fun to work with.

Update - Jenny, general manager, went above and beyond to find not only one, but two of the plants I had ordered and brought them to my local store. She was apologetic and said it was not their policy to have customers come to the store for an online order that couldn't be fulfilled. She gave me several options, including taking the 2 she brought over or upgrading to a bigger size for the same price. Allie, the store manager also called to follow up and I ended up getting 2 plants for the price of the 1. My faith has been restored! Thank you!
I recently placed an online order to pick up at the store because what I had been looking for was supposedly in stock. The next day they called to say they not only didn't have what I ordered, but I needed to come to the store for my refund! Seriously? They can't cancel and refund me? It may be more convenient for me to just dispute the charge and never order online again.

no Mexican feather grass and the only Texas sage are in 3 gal containers, but they have the best variety of plants in the area. this one is sooooooo better stocked than others we've been to, but seem to only have hundreds of one size of a certain variety of everything.help is sparse (glad I brought my sherpa), but knowledgeable. pots are crazy overpriced but there's something for nearly everything. great variety of organics.bought 2 pots, 7 plants and 3 packs of seeds for $100. I could do so much damage here.highly recommend but pay attention to labels. some plants sold here will not survive either winter or summer without a lot of help and there wasn't a large variety of natives or grasses. some expensive and beautiful specimens needed attention (fallen trees, broken branches, dislodged supports) and broken & cracked pots remain among the whole, so thump your pot... if it sings, it's okay... if it "thunks"... it's broke.
