My mechanic has told me this location damaged my vehicle by putting in a wrong oil pan drain plug. This caused the oil to leak out overnight, which was clearly visible when you see a giant puddle of new oil all over under your car the next morning.
Of course no oil in your car is bad for driving. So it had to be towed to our mechanic. Thank heavens for him fixing it.
Jiffy Lube couldn’t even tell me why they didn’t put the oil pan drain plug I had arrived at their location with back in to my car after the oil
change. Did they lose mine? Damage it? Strip it? Who knows. Shouldn’t they tell you that sort of thing? Seems super shady.
And then when you tell them what happened they say “oh sorry you can get a free oil change next time”. Sounded bored, like this happens all the time. Not “bring in your receipts and we will reimburse you for you having to tow your car to your mechanic so they can tell you why all the oil drained out, as well as for the cost of the diagnosis and replacement with the correct drain plug for your vehicle”. They know full well nobody’s coming back to them after they do this stuff.
