My experience has been terrible. I was there last year Dr said my prescription changed that my eyesight was better. I wear both glasses and contacts. I decided to purchase new glasses with new prescription. After almost 3 hours of going over benefits I had to leave and come back to get my benefits figured out. When I got my glasses it was all wrong. This year I went again because hours are convenient with them open Saturdays. They said my prescription had changed to what it use to be before I purchased glasses. Money in trash. I have been there 3 times and they have given me 3 different prescriptions. I used my benefits and paid for the extras they add to exam which they claim they can’t do exam without the extras and my prescription is not right.Received phone call from someone outside office, not sure the purpose of the call. Explained everything I wrote above again not sure why. Nothing was resolved.Was told I would hear from office that never happened

First of all ... I went to Dr. Hughes for years and loved him. I've been taking my kids to target optical. However, when I saw Dr. Hughes was back and had availability, I scheduled my daughter for an appointment. It wasn't as quick to get into as Target was, but I was OK waiting. Filled out the info online and showed up 15 minutes early for my appointment. When I got there, the front desk girl started to tell me the exam was not covered. I pulled up all the information and explained to her that it was. And it always has been. I guess when she ran the insurance it wasn't pulling up. So instead of calling me before the appointment and letting me know I would be responsible for the exam or trying to figure it out....We had a 10 minute back-and-forth on it. So finally, I told her I would call my insurance provider. So I called and got it straightened out. Mind you, she didn't do any of it (and was not helping other customers). When I told her it would show up in the system for her now, she told me it was too late for my appointment. My appointment was at 3:30 and it was 3:39!!! Seriously?!?There was ONE other person in waiting room that had just arrived. Anyway, i'll stick to target where we've had great customer service.

The front desk girl was very unhelpful from the time I walked in. She did not have my insurance verified and could not look up my information. Her scanner was not working. Waited 30 plus minutes to be called back. Then waited even longer for the doctor to come in. Once she came in, she didn't interduce herself or apologize for the wait. Just made a comment about it being Saturday and they always running late. But the kicker is I have a problem with one of my eyes and I have to go see a specialist, I asked her what may cause this problem. I don't know, guess you are just lucky. Really!The only bright spot in this whole morning was the wonderful lady who helps you with glasses. She looked up my insurance, was super polite and caring.I will not be going back to this location.

Incredibly nice people in this office. The doctor is amazing. Great person now funny witty explains everything well to you. The front desk. People are super nice. The ladies that helped us find frames were super cool. They work well with kids if you have not tried this doctor’s office please do you will not be disappointed.

The front desk at this establishment lacks professionalism. Despite visiting multiple times, I was consistently provided with the wrong frames on three separate occasions. Additionally, the prescription was incorrect during my initial visit. It is disappointing that such mistakes were made repeatedly. Considering the circumstances, I believe it would be more beneficial for me to seek eyewear services at Costco or Walmart instead. I strongly advise others to avoid this place.

Candy was awesome! She was patient with me while picking out frames and I ended up with new glasses! Super happy with the whole experience!

Liz helped me choose glasses. She was amazing and so helpful! The whole visit, from my eye exam with Dr. Hughes, to choosing glasses, was just top-notch service. My family has been using this location for over ten years. Last year, I visited a location closer to my house, but decided to come back to the Hurst location this year, and I’m glad I did. It’s worth the extra drive time.

I tried calling to see if they accept kids but they won't answer the phone for appointments. Instead the automated system directs you to go online, as opposed to someone being able to help via phone.

Front desk is fine, doctor was nice, and was able to get in quickly. However, it is absolutely absurd to me that you have to sit in the same line to check out from your exam whether or not you want to try on and order glasses or not. I just came in for my exam and updated prescriptions but had to sit and wait for the very kind workers to fit two other customers for glasses and get those orders in before I could simply check out for my exam…. What?? I felt like a hostage! Absolutely no shame to the workers- they did nothing wrong. But that system does NOT work!!

I got my glasses here and have been back for repairs. The front desk has never been friendly. I came to get the lenses replaced on my glasses and waited for quite awhile and then someone came out took the lady that had come out of the back after I was there. She said well she was getting an exam so she was first. They only had one person working the glasses area.It has gone downhill since my Dr retired and MyEyeDr took over. Won’t be getting my next glasses here.

Dr. Blake has been my eye doctor for years. We drive from Waxahachie for his care and professionalism. When we have an urgent eye need, they can always find a way to work us into the schedule. He really takes the time to get to know his patients and their specific eye needs.

I had to get a lens removed after cataract surgery and Michael went over and above to help fix my glasses so I could continue to wear them. Best customer service! So friendly and helpful. Thank you!!

Quick update. I did pick up my glasses today and they are gorgeous to me (Oliver Peoples brand). I paid a lot more than I usually do, but I selected a higher-end frame. There are other sites that had the frames for a little less, but didn't have the features or warranty that myeyedr offers.There was some confusion about the arrival date of the glasses. I was originally told it'd be up to 2 weeks out. Their website said they'd be ready in 1 week out. The glasses arrived in 3 weeks. This wouldn't have been an issue if I'd have just been told up front. So, anticipate 3 weeks. Also, keep in mind they close at 5PM.
