I have been with Standard insurance since 2019. They appeared to be a nice company ,but the staff are not God like at all. The first instance was back in 2022 I called and requested a quote for rental insurance. The human being that took my information never called me back and I had to call him . When asked what happened he states I get didn’t approved, keep in mind I have car insurance with them . With no explanation, and very rude attitude. That’s was the first strike , then last year the premium goes up . Spoke with a rep , they stated it was overall increase across the board $97 to $105 monthly . So I decided to stay with them again . So this year get my premium $148 monthly !!! So I called and I got ERIC I’m asking him why did my premium go up , he states it went up across board. I’m explaining to him there’s no way my premium keeps going up , no accidents good driving records . So then he proceeded to say well you asked to me tell you why and I did . I’m say this in the nicest way possible. Treat people the way you want to be treated!! Standard has some of the most disrespectful unconsidered people that works for them which makes this company look pitiful!! To anyone reading this if you decide to deal with them good luck . If I could give them no stars I would and it’s all about customer service!!!!

I'm still in shock, but this is true. Not only is Standard Insurance capable of treating you unprofessionally through the phone when working a claim; examples hum while you explain, ignore, and shout back, but they lie and create dates and situations to cancel policies using made-up back dates, even if you have paid.When you want to escalate and speak to a Manager or someone in higher authority, they don't give phone numbers or email addresses but tell you they are on vacation and make it very difficult to go past the first person that picks up the phone. You must get legal help and get the Department of Insurance involved if you want justice.Don't think this is a faith-based organization just because they advertise in faith-based media; they are not. The things they do is wrong and evil. And our family is a witness to this, documented proof.If you are seeking for an insurance company that provides good customer service and help you through tough moments, this is not the company. Check their reviews and you will read.

Great until you need them. I was with Standard Insurance Agency for 3 years. I finally had an issues November 25, 2023. I had a water heater failure in the garage that ended up leaking into the Master bedroom and bathroom, game room, and living. I called standard but they were already closed for the weekend and only was able to leave a voicemail. While in the middle of my emergency I called a restoration company as well as a plumber. Finally, on Monday when I called again to talk with a person, that took my information and was told I would receive a call back. After getting the call back, I was informed that Standard Insurance considered a water heater an appliance and that they did not cover water damaged caused by appliances. This ended up costing me over $10,000 out of my own pocket. Every other insurance company covers this and if you want to exclude it they give you the option. Standard Insurance Agency sales reps never shared this information with me as they were cutting coverage to get me a lower rate just to get my business. Stay away from these guys

I had a really good rate for a couple years and when rates went up, they took me off of auto draft without notifying me and my policy lapsed, and they would not reinstate it unless I got a new policy which was doubled what I was paying. They did it on purpose. Even when I showed them the emailed where I did pay and ask for auto draft, they would not reinstate my policy. This is why insurance companies have a bad rap, because of companies that practice like this.

I wish I had seen these reviews before I signed up with Standard. I was involved in a hit and run. They refuse to pay for the damage to my car. Was I supposed to chase the other car down? Worse, they string you along for a month and then send a letter denying your claim. Can't get anyone on the phone. Needless to say we are looking for another insurance company.

Man hit my moms car. Standard tells her she needs to call to get a rental and they will reimburse her $30 a day for the rental in a reimbursement. Meaning she must PAY out of pocket for 6 days rental and wait for them to get around to giving her the money back. This is after they explain to her that it may take two years for them to get her car fixed. We didn't hit our, the Person driving a car that has Standard insurance hit out car. I cannot imagine how this insurance company could possibly be in compliance with State laws. They offered us a check for well less than the actual cost of repairs. They are having us book all rentals, repairs etc.. and want us to pay out of our pockets. This is ridiculous. If you have insurance with them I assume getting your car fixed is the same as ours being the victim. Get insurance from anywhere else, please for all drivers on the road.

This has to be the worst insurance company I've ever been associated with! I'm appalled that KLTY Christian Radio station endorses such a horrible company! They don't cover you even though you have FULL COVERAGE INSURANCE! Their employees are very rude and condescending, oh wait and they more than double your rates if you file a claim! We had a small finder binder and they're not paying for the vehicle that was hit, and offering $500 (eye roll) for my vehicle! When you have full coverage it should pay for the vehicles to be repaired, but don't expect Standard Insurance to pay for the other vehicle! I can't stress enough to please Get your coverage somewhere else, don't trust these crooks to cover your accident even though you pay for the insurance coverage! It's about to get real for Standard Insurance, I'm suing them dearly!

My car (Infiniti Q50) was set on fire in May 2020 and I filed an insurance claim with this insurance company the following day after speaking with the Carrollton Arson Investigator and Carrollton Police Department. There were no missed car or insurance payments. This insurance company told me that they had to wait until they received the final Arson Investigator's report before they would consider doing anything with the claim. Do you know how long it took the Arson Investigator to complete the investigation? It took the Arson Investigator 8 months to close the case so that meant I had to continue to make a car payment on a car that was totaled for 8 months. Keep in mind, I was unable to get another car because I could not afford two car payments. I happened to have another car in another state (that was paid off) which I had to pay $500 to have that car transported to me in Texas. If you don't mind having to wait 8 months for this insurance company to honor your claim, then you should consider this company; otherwise, run far, far, far away, and don't look back.

I just spoke with Cade and inquired as to why my auto insurance was so expensive and with in 5 minutes he applied a few discounts and said they would review my policy in November for additional savings. He is very professional nice to do business with I am very happy with standard insurance . Thank you Cade for taking such good care of me. You are a true asset to standard insurance thank you and keep up the good work I am very pleased
